See the disclaimer above. Most of all you want to wait for some official announcement before jumping to conclusions, because the weapons and pets might still be needed in some way for kingdom progression. There’s only a limited amount of info you can gather by sifting through tea leaves.

I guess, if they let me keep my maxed kindoms, well, maxed… I’ll be ok with the system change. But in case I feel any injustice (which I’m afraid might happen), I’m mentally preparing myself to quit

I know its all speculation at this point.
But i have a bunch of books I was saving to push a few kingdoms from 18 to 20.
Would it better to use the books on other kingdoms or let them be traded for the new currency.

Yes, of course it should be in the spoilers thread – that’s very specifically the only place spoilers are allowed here.
Also, and to be very blunt: Jeto said there was information coming shortly. Enthusiastically leaping in to spike the ball with a bunch of guessed-from-the-game-files spoilers feels like a hell of a dick move here. Like, do you want Jeto to never share pre-release information again?

I do have to say tho, if the devs have known for a while. That a change to books is happening.
Then to tell the playerbase would of been nice, a lot of stuff waisted, since theyve know.
Now as you say, that is a real dick move.

Jeto doesn’t have to share information again, the update can come out blindly and the players don’t have to like the update.
The players don’t have to spend money on this game and the players don’t have to stay with this game if the change makes them unhappy.
The game DOES need players and money coming in to continue running operations.
So, please feel free to insist on whatever makes you happy.
We’ve seen dev silence before. It didn’t exactly go that well.

As for the actual blog, I’m more than happy not to speculate before its released. Just for the love of everything let there be some time to actually read it before the update comes out.

I know one thing tho we had a rollback because of a gem mistake. And all the do gooders worked out what gems were worth in real money.
I hope theyll do the same.
Books into deeds, deeds into gems, gems into the new currency price in shop, when released.
Very easy to do mathematically, so there should be zero problems. Giving us, exact books worth.
In new currency, and not giving us a tenth or half.Of the value in shop.

This issue with data diving and then sharing spoilers on content, update, etc, is that no matter what you stipulate with your information – players will jump to conclusions and make assumptions, because you are unable to provide the full context or answer any questions that will come from it.. so all they have left to do is stew and start getting concerned and stressed, before an update is finished let alone release.
So now, you have put me in a position where I have been working on this explainer, which isn’t finished and I feel like it has to be released now, half done, just so I can try and jump on this to prevent players getting worked up about things that might not, or definitely are not a concern at all.
For example, all your weapons and pets, still used for Kingdom tasks. That hasn’t changed.
I am very aware that releasing a blog isn’t going to change someone’s mind about their opinion on an update, but that’s not the point .. it’s to make sure there is as much clear information for players to read about an update and the changes coming, so then there is a minimal room as possible for theories and concern without there being a clear answer, or, someone around to be able to address questions and concerns, after all the information has been given.

I think we should wait for you to fininsh, all the information .
Then you wont get lots of questions, that would be answered in the info.
I for one, arnt stressing, im actually looking forward to hopefully msking my max kingdoms stronger. Iv been waiting for level increases in Kingdoms and classes. So 1 is happening soon.

I understand your point, but I feel like you are blaming me for something I didn’t do.
What I really want is to know about major changes beforehand, so I might be able to prepare. Like, should I spend my hard-earned books? Even if a patch note comes out a few hours before the release, I might not have time to react due to different time zones.
That’s why I’ve asked a couple of questions.

Thanks for posting, Jeto. Don’t feel like you have to put stuff out half-finished. But just a nudge like this, saying “info is coming” is really helpful. And knowing that info will come with time for us to make any actions we need, before a given change or update, would be really good.
Obviously I don’t know all the details, but if a resource is moving to a new resource and something is getting converted, it would be great to know if we’d be better to hold off spending resources or to spend them before any change. I hope that will be explained in your explainer, and look forward to seeing it when it’s ready. Thanks.

At this stage I will likely hold off, cos the points that are left that I am waiting on still are questions you will all ask anyways and I think they are important to include.
With that, the blog would likely come out Monday if I can get what I need.. or most of it at least, by the end of today or ready for me Monday morning.
If I do not have everything in the blog, I will make sure that is highlighted clearly and then will add it in once I have that information.. as there is only so long I can wait to get it out till it’s just the same day as the update and would like a minimum day before release.
Not ideal, but, the team is extremely busy at the moment. So, them getting their work done is a priority.

This is why I personally keep discussion around major spoilers on the community Discord. Us forum-dwellers tend to be more reactive, and it places Jeto/devs in a hard place with people asking for clarifications and making accusations before things are finalized.

I can feel an a anger building in me that would level the entirety of krystara to ash and cinder…etc
