(!) Spoiler Alert (!) -- [Any Details Provided are Subject to Change] (Part 2)

Great to see Crom Cruach coming into the game, one of my most favorite ancient monster gods. No image of them survives from ancient Britain/Ireland, so it’ll be interesting to see what the artist has done with it.

There’s quite a bit of Crom Cruach action in 2000ad’s Slaine (graphic novels) for any other fans out there.

Immortal Goblin is finally showing.. RGB, same exact colors as Boompile. RGB blocks a lot of goblins I think?

Functions very similar to Immortal Selene, but has an extra turn. 3rd trait creates a Wish Gem so Faerie Gobmother is basically retired and so is Theodore lol

Not very diverse, generically good, but could backfire hard. Broken Lands also just got Ang’Rak so this isn’t super needed? Hard to argue an invuln + extra turn cast though.

Immortal Zhul’Kari has a make 2 web gems traits in Geheron. True scatter damage isn’t the best, but Imm Abaddon/Imm Libara aren’t amazing either. Great way to slow down Chrysantherax though.

Seasonal Legendary is a gimmicky way to support Captain Macaw. Never thought I’d see the day. The extra Submerge gem trait helps there too.

Seasonal Mythic exists. 1 random bleed on a random enemy on a skull match trait isn’t great. Bleed is only good when stacked and things are going to be dead from skulls or the bleed is going to wear off long before stacking will happen with this trait. Wish the trait was targeted or applied to all enemies. Mana back on kill is good for clearing easier content, I guess.

This bunch is better than the current seasonal pvp troops, which isn’t saying much.

Immortal Trogolin creates wish gems…I knew it. Go figure that they actually used common sense when creating a troop. But I honestly don’t mind that he uses :red_circle: and :green_circle: mana because that’s like peanut butter and jelly with Norbert’s Turnip. He might actually replace Gobtruffle, in my usual setup of Stringfiddler/Thief,Turnip/Boompile. But wish gems can backfire, so I will test the waters.

And I go back to what I said before–Immortal weapons need to be the 3 inverse colors of their associated Immortal. For 20 :yellow_circle: mana, Trogolin’s flame knife explodes 4 wish gems with some true damage and other effects. Make that weapon use :brown_circle: and :purple_circle: mana too, and you got yourself a real weapon.

Immortal Maratus doesn’t interest me that much. Arachnean Weaver is the Lord of Zhul’Kari buddy, but it does give some variety to the monster typing, which is in desperate need of more powerful troops. He’s probably better than Mandragora, but just build around the MVP of the GWs of old, and your team will be much, much better. Dragons are the lords of the Central PvP regions. Nothing is going to change that…

Gorr Murktooth is actually a lot better than the usual garbage that we get for PvP mythics. Getting all of your mana back after getting a kill has some nice potential to at least do…something. I think the devs were trying to make him like the other “Gnolls” that deal double magic and skull damage to all the different colored enemies, but his traits don’t reflect that. Take Savage Hunter’s concept and make him an absolute monster.

Here’s how I would rework his traits:

First trait: place hunter’s mark on enemies when dealing skull damage.

Second trait: become enraged when an enemy dies.

Third trait: deal double skull damage vs. all enemies.

I would like the developers to consider my suggestions, but we all know that it’s never going to happen. A man can dream though…a man can dream…

Anyone else think “Gain 2 Attack, Life and Armor when my turn begins.” is really weak for something you have to struggle hard to get to level 30?

It’s still a work in progress so its not finalized yet… but if anyone is out there.. somebody help this poor troop out. The spell is actually quite useable (for Central Spire) too. But as it is, you get it to level 4 and forget about it. (and yes, the gimmick is that the 3rd trait helps the boost ratio, but you could probably make lunch/dinner before this thing’s 3rd trait did anything to impact the match.)

not like other awakened traits are any good beside Torment, it’s common for all immos to have awfuly bad ratio cost vs efficient

what would those traits have to do to be good?

I’ve found all of the create 3 heroic awakened gem ones pretty good since it floods the board with the colors you want quickly.

I think Trogolin’s create 2 wish gems is pretty good since creating 1 already is quite good. Will have to get that one when I can.

Immortal Raqiyah’s 50% to turn 3 yellows into hourglass gems is strong, even if I hate 50% traits… so basically all of the other ones.

The only awakened 3rd trait I think is actively bad is Immortal Abaddon’s 50%/Create 1 Daemonic Portal gem, but they put that on a troop that wins so slowly that I just hard avoid using that Immortal.

Immortal Titanus also has an unfortunate 3rd trait, but that’s because I think Bomb gems are badly designed and don’t work with exploders. Buff Bomb Gems.

Immortal Tauraeous has a weak final trait (and all other troops that have stat increases when “their turn begins”), but that is just a sign of how the game has aged. All of those past and future troops need to have their final traits changed so that they get stat increases when those troops make 4 or more gem matches.

But Immortal Tauraeous will be a monster in Central Spire because that damage boost ratio will add about 200+ damage, provided your kingdoms are upgraded enough. And with double damage? Everything will just get obliterated, even though that Immortal will probably have the same targeting issue as Krag’rax Bloodskull, where it doesn’t use all of the splash damage instances of damage once enemies start getting defeated.

Yellow Mechs. All the mana you could ever want and nothing to spend it on. Maybe you can Goblin Rocket for half an hour (sarcasm) per match.
