I got flagged down that this info was on Taransworld so thought I better come comment on it seeing as it’s out there for all you GoW data super spies.
The pass is not tied to Guild Wars game play itself. It is in the Guild Wars menu but nothing it rewards should be P2W in Guild Wars.
When it was mentioned to the team, I was happy that it sounded like a good compromise in that we did need to create a new offer for the update but that it wouldn’t affect the GW experience.
I don’t know the exact contents of the Pass yet but we’re all on the same page over here: GW should never be P2W, it is a skill based event.
Extra Guild Wars battles will also not be purchasable.
The most P2W it will get will be along the lines of the old Sentinels - a feature that was and will be available for in game resources. We didn’t extend it beyond that. Nothing you can purchase for real money should give you a direct advantage in Guild Wars.
