Yeah, Ruinics are a big bottleneck these days
This is a guess but I’m going to say that the players starving for Runics are majority PvP with very little Explore grinding, whereas those having other bottlenecks (Arcanes, Minor Reds) do more Explore grinding. This seems consistent with what I know of the above forumers playstyles.
Grinding Explore for Arcanes results in a lot more Runics of those colours than the equivalent amount of time spent in PvP, whereas PvP generates Glory for buying more Arcanes in packs when the right colours come around.
Edit: Another impact may be VIP status. Spending gems primarily on VIP rather than Gem chests also has a big impact on Runic/Arcane balance.

That’s exactly my issue. I play a lot of PVP and only a little explore. I also hoard keys until mythic release week. So, my runics are extremely low. It’s always my bottleneck.

The massive reduction in Glory Key, I believe is in part to restrict the Runics. If you spend your gems on the VIP keys, you get needed Arcanes, but I think eventually, we will see a runic shortage. This is just a wild ass guess, but something I’d trying to watch before I hit the wall of no runics.
Not trying to “pass” anything off or pull a fast one, I just got into a discussion about this. Let’s table this topic here, I’m sure we’ll get back to spoilers in no time at all.
Speaking of which, the next Mythic supposedly is Horus from Khetar and will use Arcane Spirit and Arcane Skull No other details at this time and of course can change.

If true ,that would make Arcane Spirit the only arcane needed by 3 mythic troops. Seeing how it is now in glory rewards for an unusually low price, one might want to stockpile…

I believe @yonizaf is referring to the Merchant’s Blade bundle, which includes quite a lot of stuff for 300 glory, including 2 Arcane Spirits.

All for 300 glory!

I’ve bought the pack multiple times for the Event Keys and the Arcanes. After only 6 Event Keys I drew Bone Dragon, one of my few missing legends 
Yeah tempted to buy even more then in need with those extra event keys
