(!) Spoiler Alert (!) -- [Any Details Provided are Subject to Change] (Part 1)

It is currently marked as one.

Is anyone able to confirm (or deny) whether the next mythic is coming out next week (2nd of december) ? Going by the usual rule of thumb “first friday of the month” that should be the case, I’m just curious if there’s anything pointing out to this date in the game-files (or maybe @Nimhain / @Sirrian mentioned it somewhere and I missed it)?

I’m not expecting anything more than “this is the plan, unless something changes” I know things aren’t final until they happen.

That’s the current release trajectory, unless the tea leaves fail me.

Upcoming event troops appear to be as follows. I enjoy the self-deprecating humor in the second troop’s flavor text.

WANDERING MONK
Ultra-Rare Leonis Empire Human
Lion Mantra (12 Red/Yellow)
Deal [Magic + 4] damage to an enemy troop. Deal double damage if the enemy is Stunned. Stun the enemy.
(Human Bond, Avenger, Knockout)
MAX Attack:15 Life:31 Armor:13 Magic:8
Drop and give me zen!

DESERT MANTIS
Ultra-Rare Leonis Empire Wildfolk-Monster
Bug Eye (9 Yellow/Brown)
Create 8 Yellow and 8 Blue Gems.
(Monster Bond, Armored, Air Link)
MAX Attack:15 Life:22 Armor:22 Magic:0
Oh no, another bug in the game…

Hmm. Shouldn’t that be Beast-Monster? (Saying it’s wrong by design, not that you got it wrong.)

Might be. I agree it’s a strange designation. There might be another drop tomorrow with corrections, but this is what’s in the files at the moment.

Interesting… first one isn’t likely to break anything… second one makes a LOT of gems for a low mana cost… and if it’s corrected to be a Beast, works nicely with last week’s Forest Guardian… hmmm…

I would have to see the art to be totally sure. But for precedents we’ve already got Giant Spider and Spider Swarm down as pure Beast types…

Of course we do now have to look extremely carefully at any Beast now that that is a thing. If only Mechs were as interesting.

More bipedal than most Beasts, but doesn’t really say “Wildfolk” to me either.

I think Wulfgarok is weird with wings… His pose seems a little stiff and uncomfortable too.
Desert Mantis’s art is nice, reminds me the Thri-Kreen of Dark Sun (D&D campaign world).

Bit more than tool use going on there, suggests actual intelligence. Could be Wildfolk after all.

We’ve got a lot of tool use on the forum currently…

It is holding and using a weapon. Beasts never use weapons.

At the very least it isn’t any less of a Wildfolk than Barbearius.

“Wildfolk” doesn’t necessarily refer to mammalian-humanoids. After they separated Wargare/etc. from the term, it’s become more of safety net for any intelligent creatures that do not fall into any of the other hybrid categories.

Adding another race like “Insectoid” would just further thin the species bonuses, especially considering we’ve already got some serious catch-up to do for Merfolk (and Tauros to an extent).

Fair enough. Works for me.

Well it’s certainly wild looking to me and I would get the folk outta there if I saw it.
Thanks now I’ll be sleeping with the light on and a giant can of raid!
slaps leg No I think I got him!

Yep yellow brown arcanes!!! Oh they are on 300 pack. Well next time I guess :frowning:

I’d just like to point out that I totally corrected myself after seeing the image.

That is all. Carry on.

i think wildfolk monster is correct - monster for the bug and wildfolk for the humanoid part
beast are suppose to be animals, this is more likely a monster not animal :stuck_out_tongue:

i wish it had any effect pinned to that gem creation too…
even very little effect like gain 1 attack or 2 life

It really doesn’t need anything else going for it. It spawns two gem colors, one of which charges itself again and it has a link trait for. And its so cheap its basically guaranteed to charge unless it misfires dramatically.

Then again its not like that can’t happen or something.
