What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened?
I expect nothing but I’m spammed with the defense reward result.
What are the steps to make it happen again?
Do a PVP battle.

This is triggered by being in PvP at the time of a daily rollover. It will typically go away when you get the daily login splash screen which usually can be triggered by checking your mail if you don’t get it immediately when returning to the map. If not, it will go away when you restart the game (which should also trigger the daily login screen).
