The Steel Cobra will be available this week for 300 Glory in the shop as well as in Event Chests, and will appear in Glory, Gem, and Guild chests in 3-4 weeks’ time.
There are 6 battles that players can encounter during the event: Cold Steel Cobra, Warm Steel Cobra, Strong Steel Cobra, Marilith, Basilisk, and the Faerie Gobmother. The battles are randomly chosen, but they all have an equal chance of appearing on the map.
Scoring
You can find the following rewards for each of the different battles you may encounter.
Cold Steel Cobra: 1 Melted Cobra
Warm Steel Cobra: 1 Melted Cobra
Strong Steel Cobra: 1 Melted Cobra
Marilith: 5 Poison
Basilisk: 6 Poison
Faerie Gobmother: 7 Poison
Each Melted Cobra is worth 10 points, and each Poison is worth 2 points. The Battles against Cold Steel Cobra, Warm Steel Cobra, and Strong Steel Cobra will drop a variable number of Melted Cobras (on average about 1.18x the base amount).
Scoring looks more complicated than it actually is. Battles don’t reset so optimal scoring is simply: Avoid Marilith until you can’t. Easy to remember.
Infinity Plus Two has repeatedly been found to sell loot boxes missing the best items or containing them at significantly lower than advertised odds. They always deny this at first, deliberately spread misinformation and ultimately refuse to communicate further once enough proof has been presented. Avoid spending money on this event, you may receive something inferior to what you paid for, their support will just close and lock your compensation request.
For the most recent case of faulty loot boxes and how they were handled, see this thread and this summary .
No solid snakes here, only snake oil sellers in this game.
There has never been a direct apology given for the Arachnaean Weaver debacle.
Only snake oil slickness smothered over it. Don’t worry, we will remind you until you do; or more likely remind everyone of your snake oil approach, if you never do.
Well, the company directive from high up is that it must never be mentioned again in any official communication. They can’t really apologize, they made a significant amount of money out their configuration error. If they admit to any mistake they’d have to refund a large number of purchases, which just isn’t something Infinity Plus Two has ever been prepared to do. You’ll notice that their official loot box documentation still directly contradicts what they claimed about Arachnean Weaver back when the community pointed out the missing jackpot. If the “special rule” introduced “on community request” had been intentional it would have been updated by now.
