So Long, Goodbye, and Farewell

@Jeto I am requesting to be banned from the Forums. Permanently.

Silencing me so that I can no longer directly message you was unnecessary in the aftermath of the 9.2 deed to crystal conversion, and I have held resentment for this place ever since. The Devs did not understand their miscalculations for our time, effort and money for deeds, and it was probably the worst display of disrespect to date. 2,000 exp for a level 30 Kingdom was such a sick joke, and you expect people to just accept that? And given the carless decision to add animations that waste our time in Explore, it is obvious that they do not care about wasting our time and resources and are only making this game harder to enjoy.

Given all the recent changes, and failure to understand or accept any of the changes the community is suggestions, I think I have had enough anyway. The developers clearly are not being directed towards meaningful updates and only create more problems that slow the game down considerably. The developers and whoever is responsible for beta testing before new updates have no idea what actual players want and both parties give no careful consideration to changes that are being made. I have seen so many dedicated, experienced, and caring players leave because the disrespect has gotten out of control. It is safe to say that the developers are deliberately trying to waste our time and resources to prolong the life of this game. And in all honesty, I have tried to remain professional, but my patience can only go so far. For my mental health, I want to move past this and make peace with it.

Good luck trying to keep your emotions in check during the next Vault weekend. I have found workarounds with the new Explore, but the animations and Offers (except for the Angel) need to be completely removed. And when people realize that we can not get as much from that limited time event, they will realize what this game has become.

Well set yourself in her situation, you are not the only player that is trying to reach her.

It is just that all the bug reports, with all the ignored feedback and requests has gotten to me. I know that there are only 2 developers working on this game (and anyone else), but they have lost touch with the people who actually care about this game. Deep down, I honestly do not think that Sirrian and Nimhain even enjoy playing this game anymore. It is perfectly clear to me that they are deliberately trying to ruin this game for their own selfish reasons.

Since 2019, I have grown tired of the “Decorative” explanations from community managers and other higher ups defending terrible decisions and delayed responses. If there is a beneficial bug for us or we get an unintentional amount of resources, they are on it like white on rice, but if our game crashes for a variety of reasons, they “will get to it when they have time.” How naive do you think we are?

•Kingdom progress is now even more money-locked than before. DO NOT buy the Crystal offers in the shop. It is a scam.

•Guild War testing is hard to train for because they did not have the courtesy to give us a proper “training area” where our different Defense and Attack teams kept overriding with other in Central Spire. The devs do not even take GWs seriously, so it is no surprise that helping us with this is at the bottom of their list. (We can work around this with guildmates, but this should have never been a problem in the first place).

•And guess why our game crashed when we checked Hero talents? Because the devs and everyone who tried 9.3 before it got released do not give a :poop:. I mean, seriously? What were they doing?

And the list will keep going on, and on…and on, until this game eventually dies. As Yoda would say, "A test of misery this game has become. Happy, I think we are not."

I need to move on and forget about…all of this. Please. Release me.

You… goodSIR…are released

I share a lot of your sentiments and are likely imminently on the same course, had it not been for my guild id probably have left a year ago already…

There is, as it seems, no care for player well fare and ONLY profitability. Most of the recent updates have been good. However the glaring and honestly deafening silence when it comes to even remotely addressing player issues is clear.

My dude, that is entirely within your own control. You don’t need to do the long dramatic goodbye, the performative ban-me-for-my-own-good pleas; you could just leave.

It would be a fantastic tool here in the forums if the player base could Up/Down vote posts rather than a simple Heart or No Heart. Might help the dev team have a better grasp on player pool feelings on matters as well as the community can reflect on great or poor posts in general. There are quite a few I would like to UP vote and a ton that I would DOWN vote. lol

Sorta like… This isnt an Airport. No need to announce your Departure.

Alternatively, you could exhibit the tiniest amount of self control and just…stop posting. You could also just stop lying about inconsequential things and getting yourself temp-banned. That’s always an option as well.

I’ll grant you that the conversion could have been done better. But a ton of people had issues with the way that was done and managed NOT to break forum rules to the extent that they got themselves temp-banned. I’ve never been banned from any forum I’ve ever participated in. It’s actually not that hard.

I also hate those animations. I’m not presuming they have evil intentions - I think they just think that some people like shiny thing and they’re misjudging their customer base in this instance. Again, plenty of people have issues with this and have managed to express that frustration in a socially acceptable, non-bannable way.

Ok, well it’s a game, which is meant to be done for FUN, so if you’re not having fun, you’re not only allowed but encouraged to stop. Totally understandable.

I’m really confused by your weird obsession with the beta testers. But as I have done beta testing, I can tell you that beta testers can make suggestions and they can either:

-Make a change based on that

-Table it for now and try to look at it again later when they have more time/resources

-Decide they don’t agree

It’s odd how you keep coming for the beta testers who’ve done nothing except donate their free time to try to help. But you really should stop as it’s just making you look silly.

The version of you we’ve seen thus far was you trying to be professional?

I mean this sincerely - please do. This is getting hard to watch.

I think you’re projecting. There are actually a lot of people who have no difficulty at all keeping their emotions in check while playing games. For fun.

I mean I agree, those features are garbage and I’ve also lobbied for them to be removed. But that’s outside of the players’ control so all we can really do is express our opinions and then decide if we still want to play or if we don’t. I suppose there’s also a subcategory of continue to play but stop giving them our money. So, three options.

Okay? Again, if you like it, keep playing and if you don’t - make your suggestions and then make your own decision about whether you want to continue.

But for real, this “please ban me” drama has got to stop. It’s embarrassing.

Also:

This sounds like an absurd conspiracy theory to me. If IP2 management wanted to kill off the game, there are easier, quicker, and cheaper ways to do so than continuing to invest in development of new features that land poorly with part of the player-base.

(To me, all the recent changes are very much about 505 attempting to prolong the profitable lifespan of the game; more progression to keep players hooked in, more passes to juice recurring revenue, and cutting IP2 staffing down to the bare minimum to reduce operational expenses.)

I don’t see this thread going anywhere good, but I wish you best of luck in your next ventures @Darkborne!

dunno how a studio would continue to run, if we “intentionally” ruined our source of income.

ROFL, well stated.

I’ve closed this thread, as it is only leading to unconstructive discussions.
