Share your gems of war teams v1.08 & before

I’ve run into Giant Spider teams before and they’re surprisingly effective. I think it’s one of the more underrated troops in the game.

By the Way, I finally got the Arboleth leveled up to 19 and placed him in my farm team per previous feedback. Wow, that is a monster lineup! A little risky with a slow start but having the board reset can get you out of an early sticky situation and it still preserves the Slime. One tactic I’ve done is to wait until Slime and Valk are charged up then I’ll use Arboleths board reset. Valk and Slime immediately afterward puts me in a great situation.

I’m running a Mana drain team at the moment.

Spider Queen
Moloch
Psion
Ferit

I’m considering changing Spider Queen to The Silent one but like SQ’s armor debuff.

@Shimrra. That was me😄. If you look up a post or two, you’ll see I had that team set up before your comment.

Just logged in and wow! 7 Defense Victories, 0 Losses. (1.08)

Banner: Zhul’Kari

Hero (Silent Night)
Goblin
Hobgoblin
Dryad

Addendum: I haven’t lost a PVP with this team either.

Happy New Year!

I’ll have to try this. Thanks for the team.

I finally managed to unlock the traits for my first Arcane Team:

+2 Green banner (Woodland)
Webspinner - Poison for Watcher, possible loop.
Soothsayer - 2 Magic per cast for the Arcane troops, plus Webspinner damage boost.
Watcher - Small amount of mana drain, plus true damage spell boosted by arcane
Ice Witch - Extra purple mana on matches, Arcane.

Basically, try to use Webspinner and Soothsayer to super power the arcane troops. Use the Watcher to try and keep major threats in check.

Hopefully, I can rest on grinding out traitstones for a bit.

My apologies, what is an arcane troop?

It gains 1 magic every time an ally casts a spell.

At the current patch level, I am trying a team of:

Gloom Leaf
Silent One
Celestrasia
Bone Dragon

Bone Drangon is very effective against bloated traited bonused troops. This team usually beats the Zajon combination.

My knight team :slightly_smiling:

Composition:

  • Knight Coronet (Leader - Water Spirit - Stoneskin)

  • Griffon Knight (Flying - Water Spirit - Armored)

  • Wolf Knight (Fireproof - Air Spirit - True Shot)

  • Dark Master ( Knight Bond - Cursed - Armored)

Bonus:

Banner:

Actually but can be changed by this one (When available)

Original and fun, enjoy

I have a nasty team similar to that.

Knight Coronet
Griffon Knight
Druid
Wight

4x Blue, so the first two (with traits) get +4 magic. All colors besides Purple, which Coronet eats. General inaccuracy and randomness in exchange for tons of damage.

Oh, and Druid and Wight both have +1 to Blue matches. So 7 Blue minimum on a match.

Even with water link, Wight seems like an odd fit. True damage and purple gen both seem pointless. Deep Borer would be a nice alternative with water link. It would help fill Griffon faster, which would in turn fill Coronet faster as well.

Could Hydra with water heart or Raven with water spirit be another option? If you sacrifice a blue, Dark Master would cover purple and give you a Knight bonus. If you use a third blue Knight, you could compensate with Prismatic Orb. Templar and Lance Knight both have water link.

On that note, here is a similar team I have been wanting to try for a while:

Knight Coronet
Sunweaver
Celestasia
Hero (Prismatic Orb)

I was mostly going with Wight because I’d maxed it already for my Undead team. Raven and Hydra both cost a #%$@ton of traitstones and I don’t much like them - also stupidly low on Runic Water to the point where I couldn’t do that even if I wanted to.

You’re right about the conspicuous true damage nuke among the rest of the standard nukes, although it can one-shot an underleveled Silent One so that’s nice. The Purple will just boost Coronet though.

Unless they match. Then it lowers Coronet’s damage, and doesn’t fill anyone. A slim chance at an extra turn though. :confounded:

“Shadow Dragon’s triple Date” Dragon Team

Banner Whatever you think is appropriate will make it

Shadow Dragon
Venoxia
Emperina
Celestasia

practice a bit with it before complaining. I have much fun with this anyway

Thorn Forest banner

Gloom leaf
Rowanne
Templar
Valkyrie

(quite effective at level 138)

?

er… Venoxia is male…

Those dragons do make a rocking team though - suggest put Venoxia first to tale advantage of his Attack buffing spell…

Dragons, they play on both side of the rainbow.

Yeah, known for being greedy; not just with gold :stuck_out_tongue:

He said it not me but i was thinking it^

it sounded female to me … In its description they do refer to it as ‘‘His friends’’. So yeah you can rename the team if you like :yum:

I tried with Venox first but I prefer putting Shadow before as a priority to poison everyone.
I think you meant Emperina, well she ain’t disturbed in the mana collection by anyone above her, so I usually load her or Shadow dragon first, depending on the colours on the field ^^
It doesn’t make a great difference. And yeah, you’re gonna have much fun. I’ve seen myself poisonning everyone and then making a Celestasia-> Venoxia loop till the end.
(Celestasia is quite OP for some promo card offered for glory)
Quite strong.
