Yeah his spell does take a bit of skill and some luck to use. I’ve learned how to use him as a sniper and patiently wait for the exact right moment for him to take his shot. Huge payday if it works in your favor!
I used him in a Carnex explosion team for a while because the Hunter Mark also applies to skull explosions, great fun to have 18-20 points happen from a Carnex activation. The two that I used were:
Carnex
Sunweaver
Orion - siege
Keeper of Souls or Sheggra
Thank you so much! I’m still around 70 and Treant was one of the rares I was actually looking for, I just got lucky with an event key for Gloom Leaf. I like these tips and I think I’ll use Treant.
The team I been using since the start and seems to be my go to, also is good for souls its also 6 colors.
Luther(1 trait)12armor/18hp+trait=14/20(good tank+damage increase(mine currently+8))
valk(3 traits)(15ar/12hp+trait=15/14 (feeds luther and hero gives souls as well)
goblin(1 trait)(ascended to ultra rare (11/15) fills green mana void+ hits for 8 as well as gives another turn to say cast luther or hero)
hero(eye of xathenos) xathenos loves valk, and fey heros and stealing +3 stats whats not to love)
I currently have an all blue team with luther, valk, hero with xathenos, druid (+25 blue mana bonus + traits on valk and druid give bonus mana when matching blue + the +2 blue banner old stormheim banner. my current defense team and 6 colors.
my strat vs goblins is i gave up and started running an all ultra rare lvl 18 goblin team of my own vs them, Yes i know i apologize.
Works fairly well in PVP while letting me pick up more than 6-7 souls per fight. After one use Anointed is at 25+ atk which is enough to melt troops from skulls falling during board swaps.
Maxed traits on wardens and stargazer. This breaks almost any deck in two seconds. Stargazer bumps my wardens attack to ~30 then any skull match is one shot. This doesn’t work well as defense as ai will randomly target with stargazer and want to take green gems. Pull red brown until no matches then use stargazer. The removed blue gems should give you options to finish shegra. Popping shegra should kill 2-3 enemies in one turn.
Edit: Just saw the Skeleton version of my deck for the first time. Maybe someone saw my post lol. Ai handles this deck surprisingly well.
ZeZign I tried that build and didn’t have any luck with it. Agile did not fire and my Wardens were dead in no time. Bad luck with the board. Not blaming the team. But others have commented on Treant so I was experimenting . . .
Sword Banner +1 blue +1 yellow
Lord of Thorns +1 life +1 armor for 2 FoT troops
Treant*

Green Seer
Sunweaver
The problem with Stargazer over Sunweaver is the removal of gems. For me it seems to leave 4/5 matches for the opponent and it only boosts attack. I haven’t done many pvp’s with this team yet but getting Treant up to 40 or 50 attack doesn’t take long. True shot can still be a problem if the opponent gets a few skull matches too quick for me to boost the big guy though. Just depends on the board - as always. I really want to trait out Treant but need stones so the hope is it will get better. Lol.
You could use bone dragon or skeleton. I like shegra better because it doesn’t clash with stargazer. You may want to switch order and put those before stargazer.
It’s definitely a high end deck. I have maxed health and attack via cities so the wardens are tougher. To kill. For a decent lower end deck I would try…
Skeleton
Skeleton
Sunweaver
Keeper of souls
This requires less traits to be functional.
I use stargazer over sunweaver due to maxed trait giving full mana. You do have to be careful you don’t shoot yourself in the foot though. As long as you are aware of the problem it’s an extremely fast gold farming deck. I maybe lose 1 out of 10-15 against any deck.
This max traited team wins 90%+ of the time. I get 120 souls a battle. It’s so so with firemantle not max, but once you get that last trait it’s godly. I have vip 10 and the armor that gives max souls. Only trouble I have is against green control as it is hard to get critical mass of red/yellow.
I haven’t been able to trait out my Treant so I tweaked what I had posted earlier. I found that I could trait out Golem so I put him in. And considering ZeZign’s comments on Stargazer I decided to give her another try but pay a bit more attention before firing.
Banner of Song +1 yellow +1 green

Has worked pretty well so far but the same issue . . . if a true shot team gets the mana advantage usually ends in failure. One thing I noticed is that I do miss the ability to create the skulls instead of having to wait for them to fall. Oh oh . . . I can hear the boos now.
Serpent is easy to trait out. It also has agility and gets health each cast. You can gem lock with just serpent valk. I’ll try this combo out and reply.
