Just confirming that Veles Stormborn and Blackmane Montu from last season are in their respective drop pools now?

Why would they be in their drop pools? If my recall is correct, those season-exclusive Mythic and Legendary troops are supposed to be “Soulforge only” once their season concludes.

At least in theory. Because none of the previous PvP Mythics have appeared in the Soulforge.

I just don’t want to play PvP anymore. It’s so boring and grindy and I face the exact same teams and players constantly.

Guess I’m winding down to the point where I basically do the daily Adventure Board and the Guild Event and I’m done. I just don’t see the point in doing much of anything else in the game anymore.

The rewards just aren’t worth it and it’s become so monotonous and grindy to actually get anything useful.

Hm, so they’re stuck in a sort of purgatory right now until the current Soulforge cycle completes? That’s frustrating… I’m on the fence about whether such troops should be marked as temporarily “gated” on the Taranium. On one hand, they’re similar to other troops in that they’ll be in the Soulforge when they happen to appear. On the other hand, that could be a long time, depending on how far the cycle is from finishing.

You might want to prominently point out that they never show up in chests. I’ve seen multiple players attempting to pull one of the legendary troops with event keys. For tarot cards there’s at least some common knowledge that they are excluded, there’s no way to know for those PvP troops, they look exactly the same as other troops.

Tweaked the note about PvP Shop troops (highlighted here). Also got permission from the wonderful Shirley to use their existing PvP Troops tool, which has more information than I was including.

I find it very odd Sarathiel’s 3rd trait triggers before Immortal Libara or Amatiel’s Angel Gem creation even if Sarathiel is placed in the last slot. (Where as Khafru still triggers in the proper order)

Sarathiel’s 3rd trait is oddly specific and now is also one turn slower than it needs to be. Not sure if its a Groevanga fix side effect, but if Khafru can do the timing right, I don’t see why Sarathiel couldn’t as well….

“The Groevanga Treatment” would probably help Sarathiel tbh. Exploding 4 angel gems when matching 4 or more gems would help control the board and generate more mana after she casted. The delay and the little impact of exploding 1 angel gem doesn’t seem like it’s that impactful, and I’m not going to bother wasting gold marks on a troop that I will never use.

Please excuse my pedantry, but past tense of “cast” is “cast”. It’s like the word “cut”. Past tense is “cut” and not “cutted”.

Sorry, it’s just that I see “casted” a lot. It grates in the same way “cutted” would.

Yeah, I messed up and know that some people get irritated with it. I was trying to consolidate my thoughts, and forgot to use some more brain cells.:rofl:

It’s a poor excuse, but I get frustrated when I see troops or weapons that will never get used and are just meant for a pokémon collection. I mean, we are still waiting on Lucifa to get fixed, and so much of our feedback and consideration is just dust in the wind…

This is consistent with;

  • Omen of XXX traits with Born of XXX traits
  • The Colossus and Groevanga (Good Gargoyle Gems)

Khafru being different as they explode random Gems and not a specific type of Gem. His trait also triggers before Gem creation.

so 2 different things:

  1. so… block creators like Theodorevich and Immortal Libara are trying to spawn Blocks in areas that are exploded from Khafru first and fail making it because of that.

  2. something I can’t do consistently in the slightest, I’ve managed to make Wish Gems (2 times) via 2x Theodorevich and Angel Gem (1 time) Theodorevich + Immortal Libara trigger despite that, even if the explosion is supposed to be happening before the Block gems are being created. Edit: got Wish Gems a 3rd time. It’s so not easy to replicate.. It’s not even a Doomskull thing since starting boards don’t have Doomskulls.

I’m so confused. Something tells me I’m better off leaving this alone.

To be fair, this is entirely inevitable, and has been for ages. There are over 1,600 troops in game, not to mention weapons, with multiple being added per week. Not every one of them can be super unique or have a good niche. It’s baked into the game.

Not saying it’s necessarily good or bad - I enjoy the collecting aspect of the game. I get your point, and hope they continue to fill niches.

Troops don’t have to be overpowered to be impactful, and we all know that there is an abundance of weapons and troops because this game is over 10 years old. Like @Eika mentioned, when was the last time we got a meaningful glory troop? The list of useless pieces of our collection has made the game age poorly because it’s getting harder and harder to make troops unique and standout.

Sarathiel didn’t have to deal massive amounts of damage, but could have been a great support troop by exploding angel gems with 4+ gem matches just like Groevanga. I have played this game for so long, I could give a detailed list of how troops should function, to help strengthen weaker kingdoms, but I know those decisions are completely out of my hands.
