Question re: latest post in Balancing & Changes

Hello @Jeto ,

Yesterday you posted an update in the locked thread Balancing & Changes.

You stated that Immortals were not intended to count towards Kingdom tasks and that this matter is currently under review with possible revisions in the future.

I simply would like to weigh-in and state that as a player I would prefer that they remain as they currently are, since this affords more leveling opportunities to a player. Removal simply limits the players possible progression paths.

Additionally, the main reason for my posted question… what would you do in regards to Tasks that have already been completed by players via an Immortals level, weapon, traits or pet, etc. Would these be rolled back somehow and removed from players that have already closed certain Tasks ??

Please consider simply leaving the Immortals as counting towards a Kingdoms tasks. They were assigned a Kingdom on creation, belong to the specified Kingdom and are harder to level than standard troops… why should they not count ??

I posted this only relating to the ongoing reports that players have not had Kingdom tasks trigger, and among those reports were that Immortals would not count towards general troop/weapon/pet tasks.

From those reports it seemed like Immortals were never counting towards these tasks?
Which is why those report came up in the first place was because people weren’t seeing Immortals count towards those tasks.

Tasks already completed wouldn’t be affected, they are marked as completed and collected. Nothing we added in, from my understanding, could change that.

I cannot think of a ‘current’ reason why Immortal Troops should not contribute to kingdom tasks. They most certainly did contribute to Kingdom progression before the update (and there are a number of posts confirming such on this forum where people got an immortal to trigger ‘getting a mythic from a kingdom’ to pass a particular kingdom progression hurdle).

If this decision is going to be made, then the Kingdom name needs to be removed from all Immortal Troop descriptions (otherwise there will be greater confusion).

Maybe some (long needed) change is coming to burning chests…or maybe a new way to spend real money for immortals is being introduced and this decision is being made so as not to appear like ‘pay to win’?

So tasks like this are supposed to be unachievable currently?

I addressed this when the update went out

In the novel of patch notes it says Silverglade should actually show this:

???
Since currently the game counts the immortal troop towards kingdom progression so it believes its achievable?

Again, I am just sharing that I was told Immortals were not intended to count towards Kingdom tasks.
I have asked if that can be included in the fix incoming for Kingdom tasks that rather than properly excluding Immortals, if they can still be included.

The tasks will not say Not achievable yet, because they are currently including Immortals. Again, I have asked if that can be left and fixed but currently, I have been told they were not intended to be included.

I made the silly assumption that when kingdom offers were changed these would be removed:

So I was just asking before the patch is released that kingdoms that believe these tasks are achievable due to immortal troops will in the future show unachievable.
Anything that keeps broken offers from our daily reminders I’m for.

Kinda have to leave the kingdom names since they’re still useable in other game modes like the Underspire.

that would be so nice. free to play can’t make any real progress and pay to [“progress faster”] can’t even properly money to target down a specific non-seasonal immortal. bad system.

About the progress…can’t stress this enough and I’ll try to say it again, the entire souls system for immortals is unsustainable, even for paying players! Also, 1 Immortal per season should be enough. More and more players will eventually get tired of the slow progress and quit.

Exclude the immortal pets and weapons also. Or let us upgrade the weapon and pets like the others.

Ok just using a little common sense. If they’ve a kingdom on the troops. Then they have to be counted as kingdom troops.

Either that or take the kingdoms off, make a kingdom called immortal. Or make them apocalypse.

But make your minds up FFS. Kingdom troops or not kingdom troops. Why does everything take so f****** long to decide.

Get it done.

Just leave immortal troops in there, counting for progress. But add immortal orbs for troops and immortal pet orbs and immortal weapon ingots as well (even though the last 2 are unnecessary with the first orb). So people can choose how/what to level up.

Also, once the PvP seasons are finished, repeat, but switch out the immortal troops against each other. So that we get more souls while you still can earn money.

It’s no rocket science to upgrade everyone’s experience while not having to do much and still earning money …

Rather than release two Immortal troops every season, how about they simply release one and pick one of the old Immortals as the “featured troop” instead?

Unless they come up with a better way to level immortals I’m fine with them not counting.

Could we please have some clarification on this issue? I’m confused about what is changing or not changing. I have completed tasks due to Immortal troops and from when they are leveled to unlock their pet and weapon. Granted, the game does not acknowledge credit for these unlocks until a ‘regular’ troop, weapon or pet is also unlocked afterward with keys or legacy gameplay. Still, if Immortals are not supposed to count for troop, pet and weapon kingdom task progression, are those we’ve already received going to be removed? If the Immortal is the only mythic I have for a kingdom, will I lose all the tasks beyond ‘Collect 1 mythic’ as a result?

Losing progress is never fun. I think there should be a commitment to go forward with counting Immortals and their weapons and pets and just fix the delay when the game recognizes you have acquired them.

It’s as simple as..
We are working on a fix for the known issue that Kingdoms tasks are not recognising you are meeting the requirements to complete them

Also, clarifying that Immortals were not originally intended to count towards these tasks.

I have asked if they can continue to count towards them, but I have had no response.

At no point, has anyone said players with lose progress.

But as that has come up now a couple of times, I will follow it up with the team.

Has it been noted that the player workaround to shiny troops and Immortal progress not counting immediately is usually to open key chests until a troop is acquired? Also, getting a weapon or pet from their usual sources will often trigger the Immortal weapon or pet to finally be recognized toward kingdom tasks. This might help in resolving the issue.

Edit: Small testing has shown it must be a troop from the chest, not gold, traitstones etc.

We have found the cause of the issue, which is why I’m sharing that we are working on releasing those fixes
