Problem to launch the game (Error 768 Asset corruption on Xbox)

strat They have known since about 20 min after i 1st could not log in, we have a xbox chat for pets which i could at least relay the info on (where we have already done 4 pets since,) and yes i would not spend those 200 souls just anywhere especially since i make more souls than that with 1 game at WL4 lvl, and the 15 gems, would really be nice, the 2 segils i bought for faction wars at 30 gems and 60 gems should be just abut be reimbursed even though i was waiting for 2hrs before reset to play them if i was still in the top 100 [PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THE TOP 100 AS I ONLY PAYED TO GET THE TOP TIER REWARD LIKE MOST PEOPLE DO], (however the 4-5 levels a day i am climbing is another story, as much as it is not a race, i was lvl 1150ish and there are 5 people above me in the guild, i am trying to beat them to lvl 1200, so yeah that sucks, but what would be wore, is the having to write off 6 month worth of hard work to get where i am now, and not get it back at all, no amount of gems could make up for my time and effort,

I’m not offended at all. I’m just trying to set your ‘compensation expectations’ appropriately based on other incidents. Keep in mind there is a good chance you might be mailed 0 Gold, 0 Souls, and no message.

Sorry about your issues, a few more hours and you should get some information from IP2.

I think this is different problem, yes the downloads can get corrupted on local xbox, but reinstall always fixed that.
This looks like servers covering brazil, france, and ZA have a corrupted data file.

Same problem here, in Brazil. Despite all reinstalls, changing language on Xbox, timezone, etc, the problem still happening.

Still not working!
The game cover has changed after the Xbox Live was down here for 3 hours (6pm to 9pm gtm+1) so I had some hope…
At least 48h without Gems of War and this continue

So far it seems like reinstalling and deleting save data doesn’t resolve this.

Only IP addresses of people in France, Brazil, and South Africa as far as we can tell.
Have heard of no other country persons, and language setting does not matter.
Have heard France has issues, but Belgium user could login to profile.

@iceinc I’m really sorry you’re experiencing this problem as well. I understand you are incredibly frustrated as it can take hours and months to reach where you are.

However, please avoid posting in multiple locations about this problem with various suggested solutions after we have attempted to reach out to you. We’ve been working on the issue since before you started posting on the forum and we’re still working on it. Additional posts asking for us to do our jobs doesn’t speed up the process. In fact, if you post the same things repeatedly that we have to answer to that’s more time I have to spend addressing each post multiple times when I could focus on actually helping other players.

At no point have we told anyone the issue is their fault. We have not been treating this as individual issues, this is the same issue.

The reason we’ve been asking people to reinstall and clear save data and cache is because we re-uploaded files we suspected weren’t sent correctly, and by doing these things it would clear out the bad data and force your game to download the updated files.

As that didn’t work we’re investigating other potential causes for the issue.

Players being unable to launch the game is the most serious issue a game can have so it has 100% of our attention, we can’t put more resources onto an issue when we’re already working on it 100%

I also strongly advise against players sharing their Xbox Live sign in details with each other - someone else signing into your account won’t solve your problem on your Xbox - it just creates an account security risk for you.

Should be all fixed now since Glory Gnome has already been pulled from gold key chests, and fixing game is of course top priority.

Maybe one more thing that can help you to understand the problem 768,
I had this last past weeks (before this 768 problem), 1 or 2 times needed to redownload the game because of the other bug, the one where all the names and sentences of the game were like that [exemple] [name 1211 ex],

During the launch of this previous txt bug, I had the choice to choose the Local save, that I did, because the synchronization with our cloud save was not working…so I was playing the game with all the texts gone like my ex above before I decide to redownload Gems of War without clearing my saves…
then 1 or 2 weeks later this crazy bug 768, maybe we got something here…?

I would be curious to know if any other players who experienced this issue (linked by VonBarten) also has the problem where you can’t launch the game on Xbox due to the error.

Is anyone with this issue able to download Gems of War and play it on another device, such as PS4 or smart phone?
