The weapons already convert to Doomskulls. Creating an additional Doomskull doesn’t hurt you in all but the most desperate situations.
…?
On the two offending doomskull weapons? We already have a create a doomskull on the red one and its clearly not a problem?
Hi,
I’d simply like to show my support for this request.
The hexed upgrade on the Essence of Evil is simply horrible since it removes all negative effects.
Like other already said, I would also be tempted to actually pay to undo the last update…
Also, all gem creation should be removed, unless it’s simply more of the gem that they already create/convert. That is why doomed crossbow is actually fine. In any other case it’s simply a risk with higher potential to go wrong than actually be good.
Have a great day!
Sven
I am sorry but if you are a game developer then there is absolutely no way on earth you shouldn’t be able to remedy this fiasco in minutes. Those who pipe up saying it’s not as easy as it sounds are just naive and giving the devs an excuse to maintain their attitude of apathy and ill conceived design. Nobody who actually played the game would ever conceive these “create a gem” affixes as being conducive to unlocking the potential of a weapon. It’s a balls up of biblical proportions that has been ignored and ignored and ignored. Any coder who can’t fix this shouldn’t be in game development. Simple as.
yeah, what a crap! just had a free turn destroyed by a brown gems created from doomed club.
At least make the damn brown gem created with the impossibility to replace a green gem or a skull/doomskull. Well even that could still mess the free turn. just more rarely. Best is simply to remove this stupidity.
Yes… the absolute simple remedy is to exchange the gem creation with create a skull. How fucking difficult is that?
EDIT
Nope I am standing by this comment despite the profanity. Flag or delete as you see fit. Rimmers
why are you like this? submit the feedback and stop being rude. You’re right about what you’re saying. acting like this will just make the devs (and other players) ignore you.
You have to remember when posting that the devs do not play the game, and do not understand how it works at competitive levels. Take a weapon like doomed club, which uses brown mana. Having only a very basic idea of how the game plays, it seems beneficial to have it create a brown gem, possibly for use later to recharge the weapon.
One must explain in the clearest of terms. The only safe way to use a doomed club is to cast it when you know it will create a 4 match of doomskulls to give you an extra turn, otherwise the enemy can use those doomskulls against you. Unfortunately if the random brown gem it creates disrupts the 4 match (from turning GREEN (not brown) into doomskulls), you do not get the extra turn. So the “upgrade” has a small chance of helping you a little, or hurting you tremendously, easily costing you a match.
Sure, it would be easy to change it so it creates a green gem instead, or even a skull, but if you don’t understand the significance of the change you might not think this a good idea.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up about getting it fixed.
I want to point out that creating a gem of any color (and no additional gems) is no upgrade in any weapon (not only regarding the doom weapons, but there it is most obvious).
Imagine you have 2 yellow gems on position 4 and 6 (numberblock on keyboard for reference). There is only one position (5) that is beneficial while 2 and 8 are opening the option for you opponent, unless you get an extra turn by some ability.
I’m no mathematician, so I cannot prove it here, but even if I make the example more complex, it still seems to be double the chance to open opportunities for your opponent.
You might correct me, but I think that gem creation (or destruction of a gem that a weapon creates) is always a bad idea and should be replaced on any weapon by something beneficial or at least harmless (like a magic bonus on a weapon that doesn’t use magic…).
It’s okay on weapons that already manipulate the same type of gem, e.g. Mountain Crusher, as in amplifying the spell effect.
Any news when is it planned to address this, @Kafka, @Saltypatra?
