My boyfriend got a beardie when we first started dating. He didn’t know what to name it, so he kept stalling. I told him if he didn’t come up with a name soon I’d just start calling it something silly, like Fluffy or Spot. Whenever I came over to visit, I’d start calling it Fluffy. He never did decide otherwise, so Fluffy stuck.
