Overall, after this update 9.2, how are you all feeling now?

Hey guys,

I think I really like it a lot!

Was confusing at first but now I got the hang of things I really think this is a great update!

Thanks @Jeto and the rest of the dev team for the hard work you constantly are doing to make this game long lasting and to keep bringing us some fun!

Well done and you have a big thumbs up from me.

10 years here for me and you can count on me to keep logging in daily and grinding away.

Thanks again and hope the rest of you gemmers like it to.

Hi there. I was about to say the same. I like this new update. I was waiting for it.

Seems like it’s going better. I am still enjoying a new Underside, and now this update.

Thanks to @Jeto for being in touch :innocent:

And looking forward for more

Total stats after doing the majority of what I’m able to now with crystals and completing tasks manually.

Global stat gains based on what I had immediately following the update compared to after using crystals and doing most of the tasks I am able to:

  • +10 Attack
  • +8 Magic
  • +14 Life
  • +13 Armor

This update is nuts. Besides the stat gains, I really like being able to focus on progressing my kingdoms in more ways than before!

Well… with this update Gems of War will became Gems of Micromanagement) Next couple of days i’ll need to click so much buttons to loot any faction troops needed to raise and ascend them all and lvlup… uhhh But it looks nice and now i can see stats of my kingdom) and rise up some kingdom much more i could earlier. Let’s see what bugs it’ll bring

Actually upgrading everything was very fast and easy. So I have to say, I really like this update. Even when there’s a little room here and there for improvement.

My new team score without an immortal and with all my upgrades I did so far.

I still have 7 rainbow crystals that for now, I think I will hang on to.

Liking the overhaul. Once I get more used to the layout of the UI. I feel I have more control and ā€˜now-ness’ over what I get to upgrade/level. That’s a good thing. And it’s reduced the number of resources/currencies in the game which is always a good thing.

Love the update. We can increase beyond Level 30 now. Extra pets and troops no longer wasted. New upgrade interface is clean, professional.

Well the new system looks decent, but the conversion math seems screwy to me. I’m pretty sure I lost a fair bit of tributes, though it’s too early to be sure. Couple I got gave me 11 and 8 tributes, when I was getting like 14 or 15 before.

These new crystals need to be put in to the pvp shop for gold marks. Whats the point in buying passes or grinding for marks otherwise?

And also we get less pvp points, because now iS harder to find stronger opponents than us.

I’m mostly happy with the update. Still think the way the conversion was handled was off, players shouldn’t have been penalised for upgrading kingdoms. Other than that and a few new bugs, I’m pleased with the new system.

Functionality, it seems.. fine. I’m obligated to myself to hold back celebrations and wait and see instead. I can’t shake the feeling that something fell through the cracks and we’ll be feeling it soon, so I don’t want to celebrate yet.

There’s also the conversion rate where 12 Red Crystals and 3 Rainbow Crystals feels rather light for a Campaign pass… 3,000 XP not counting the challenges.. is that right?

The 3 extra challenges give 5 Red Crystal on the tier 3s and if the tier 2s gave 1 Rainbow Crystal each, then the challenges are now giving more value than the paid pass..

So a good aim for me as a moderate serious, endgame player is to aim for getting some Kingdoms up to level 50, so I get tribute chance maxed on each kingdom? Will take quite some time for me to get all of them to level 50, I think.

I kinda like this update, it has been a while since I got so much to work on when it came to Kingdoms. Before I was locked to needing 28 book of magic etc. lol

And soon youll be locked behind, 3 level 2 shiny troops per kingdom.

Which are harder to get than books.

I try not to think about it.

Well, not locked, cos.. you don’t have to complete that task to keep upgrading a Kingdom

So you can leave that task. And just keep uograding other tasks. And the population.

If your saying that, then great update.

And apart from PvP astral spire being missing.

Congrats on a clean update.

So, I don’t think players are really being penalized for having upgraded their Kingdoms. Old Levels/Power Levels translated into the new Prestige Levels at a very comparable level. They additionally were particularly generous with the one time conversion, and I think that’s where people feel that they lost out.

The only real solution to that though is for them to be less generous with that one time conversion, and while I can understand that those who had more stockpiled got a bigger one-time infusion of power, I can’t say that I’d really argue for them to be less generous with the conversion. It was really nice seeing all those books translate over into a solid amount of crystals.

I had previously estimated that I was 1-2 years from completing all the Kingdoms to L20/PL30. Last night after the conversion I was able to get all of my Kingdoms to Prestige 50 and all of my magic Kingdoms to Prestige 60. That’s a solid power bump, and puts me ahead of where I would have otherwise been by a considerable degree. While I would have been farther ahead if I had stockpiled more resources because the conversion was more generous for unspent resources rather than spent I still haven’t lost anything.

The only concern that I’m left with is that PvP will feel less like ā€œmust playā€ content (which I like). I just really wish the amount of VP required to complete the PvP season would be dropped to about half for next season.
