Itā€™s a decent plan, and we considered a similar one with sliding requirements. We ultimately stayed with a static requirement because a sliding scale is much harder for members to check their progress on during the week (without using a spreadsheet) and thus more prone to confusion. Definitely not a deal breaker but it was enough of a hassle to make it a moot point for us; however, we have a much more intricate rank system than most guilds, so to each their own. :smiley:

Iā€™ve been testing some numbers, trying to consider all types of player, hereā€™s what I thought:

  • 1 :trophy: = 4 GP (no change)
  • 1k Gold = 2 GP
  • 2 Seals = 1 GP

A few examples of requirement that would work:

  • 350 :trophy: + 200k Gold +1,000 Seals (Trophy only)
  • 100 :trophy: + 700k Gold +1,000 Seals (Gold only)
  • 150 :trophy: + 475k Gold +1,500 Seals
  • 200 :trophy: + 425k Gold +1,300 Seals
  • 250 :trophy: + 400k Gold + 1,000 Seals
  • 225 :trophy: + 325k Gold + 1,500 Seals
  • 250 :trophy: + 275k Gold +1,500 Seals
  • 250 :trophy: + 325k Gold +1,300 Seals

I think we should see how
1 trophy = 4GP
5 seals = 3GP
2k gold = 3 GP
Goes and take this numbers if it doesnā€™t do good on the end of the week. Personaly I think people should be donating more gold so having it award 2GP for every 1K gold feels a bit to much. At the same time 5 seals = 3 GP enable a member to get 300GP for hitting 1500 seals instead of 250GP which would be earned with 2 seals = 1 GP ratio.

Weā€™re saying the new requirement would be 1000 guild points AND you need to make 1000 seals AND 100 trophies. No?
If not, then we are saying 400GP from trophies, and 200GP from seals minimums. Thatā€™s 600 GP. Then you need to come up with another 400 GP however you want. So that could be another 100 trophies and no gold. Thatā€™s a lot less than weā€™d talked about. Or, as I thought (maybe) Don was saying, do you have to do those minimums and ON TOP OF that get another 1000 GP? If so, then that makes more sense to me.

I do not favor banking, but thatā€™s me.

Reqs are both. Basic requirements are 100 trophies 1000 seals 200k gold and 1000 guild points. All 4 need to be met. Every trophy a member earn above 100 from basic requirements awards 4 GP. Every 5 seals above 1000 from basic requirements awards 3 guild points.
Itā€™s up to every individual to decide through which part will they earn 1000 GP, but everyone needs to do basic requirements and 1000 GP on top of that.
So itā€™s a bit more then what we discussedo, definitely not less :slight_smile:

I honestly didnā€™t understand eerything you said, but none of the options we presented are less than we talked about. Theyā€™re all more, and now Iā€™m afraid theyā€™re more by a large margin, idk. 200 trophies + 300k gold + 1,500 seals wonā€™t cut it in this system.

All GPs are obtained only from contributions that are above the minimum for each resource. Everyone has to donate 100 trophies + 1k seals + 200k gold, and, on top of that, 1,000 GP more, and those go however you like, following the convertion rates.

You might wanna check the OP here, itā€™s been edited and an overview of the system (only the values are not updated as of now, but it should give you an idea)

And while I am asking and editing, would you like me to remove the Bank info from the OP? I think the guild is pretty unanimous against it. :wink: MM doesnā€™t want any slackers or any excuse for slacking!! Kudos to everybody for being vocal about that. I respect that alot. :thumbsup:
