What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened

Valravens normally appear in the first three PvP battles. Having an issue where they appear sporadically, similar to when they were first introduced. For example I only got one raven in 10 minutes of playing and I should be able to get two more immediately

Steps to make it happen again
:backhand_index_pointing_right: REPLACE THIS TEXT WITH YOUR ISSUE. e.g. Sometimes there are certain steps that can lead to a problem that may not be obvious! Example: I lost once in the Arena, I then exit to the World Map, select Broken Spire on the Map and enter Arena. The Broken Spire’s quest is lost instead.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
:backhand_index_pointing_right: It’s not consistent but becoming more frequent

I can confirm that the valhawks seem to have reverted to their original random nonsense. That’s assuming I ever get a second or third one today.

Yep. Took 16 battles to get the three valravens (which should normally appear in the first 3 non-citadel battles.

Glass Half Full - they are tweaking so many aspects of the game to overcome the iOS issue that they must have accidentally changed code that went back to how valravens appeared a few years ago.

Glass Half Empty - the programmers continue to prove their incompetence.

Conspiracist - Following the changes to the PvP shop where Crystals (ie Book replacements) cannot be purchased for gold marks, and where the promised improvements to pvp matching in 9.4 did not materialise….the amount of PvP matches plummeted. Consequently, the devs maliciously re-introduced the random valraven appearance to force an increase in pvp.

No issue here on Android.

Same issue, no Valravens - Android

Yep I hope it gets resolved soon - the Valravens appearing in the first three battles was such a nice QOL improvement when it was introduced. Hate the idea of spending 20-30 min in random battles trying to find them now

Same issue for PC - steam. I’m super busy and do not have time to grind PvP for valhawks

Just a thought - I recently unlocked the Waning Portal capstone (reduces enemy summons). Could that be it?

Same issue here.
On PC /cSteam

Will confirm, I am getting the same result - need to grind PvP (which I hate) to get all 3 Valhawks since Monday, 10/26/26. On both my Steam and IOS platform.

Tive o mesmo problema no xbox one

I’ll follow up if anything has been changed, or any info

I expect that if nothing has been changed (directly or indirectly) it will get mentioned they they are intended to appear randomly.

Update: There was a bug where Valravens were appearing consistently, as well as they were bypassing the random check.

A fix for that went out yesterday (I was on leave). Which is why they are appearing randomly again.

Could you transfer to a Sirrian or who is on charge now that the way they appears consistently is a right way we all want them to appears) could we get it back to this stance?)

So a QoL change got reverted or someone forgot that they even added this change earlier? Mind boggling indeed.

Is that because you want to just have them done and dusted for the day as soon as possible? Or a different reason?

It’s the one reason - the other is a situation when i want to jump down from a diamond league to ruby and get my 3 ravens/day. When you do this you should win a minimal number of battles (i.e. 5 citadel battles a bay) while trying to not to loose a gold marks and not to get too much VP, but make a 6500 VP weekly target. And hope you will be in the last 5 pllayers. In this model you should open a battle (next day after a citadel battle to get a GM for 5 battles) and if there’s no raven - you quit, etcetra etcetra, it’s anoying and completelly not fun. We could have only 3 ravens/day so we can’t farm them or something, so it’s a just anoying routine when they are not going in a row. From my side it’s not the way we could beat the game and get too much benefits

Yes having the Valravens appear ASAP is such a nice quality of life feature in those days where you’re pressed for time and don’t feel like grinding PvP for the three birds. A patch a couple years ago (I think) changed the random appearance to the first three PvP battles and it was widely praised

Question, was this “bug” ever in the known issues? If not, why not? It’s been “bugged” for a couple of years. Out of all the various actual problems, how on earth did this “bug,” that approximately zero people wanted fixed and does not actually hurt the game in any way, manage to shoot to the top of the fix list?

“Fixing” it like this will actually hurt the game. PvP has been devalued a bit by the new kingdom prestige. It’s not a “must do,” anymore. I still play it, because I don’t hate it. I usually get the season pass, because I play it. But if I have to get stuck behind unlucky rng for valhawks (which is always guaranteed to hit me when I absolutely don’t have time for that :poop: ), I’ll just skip the whole thing. For sure, not everyone will be turned off the mode by this change. But some will be. And I’d bet cash money that zero people stopped playing pvp because the valhawks came three in a row.
