Everyone is happier. They implemented player ideas, listen to feedback… It’s really nice.
No idea why IP2 seems to despise their playerbase so much. It doesn’t make sense to me to go out of your way to anger and sadden the very people your livelihood depends upon.

I have to agree – it is NORMAL for a gamer to strategize and optimize/exploit every system in the game, to such degree that a good developer actually designs the system with that desire in mind.
So while “true RNG” is obviously not the best fix, I can agree that maybe it was the quickest fix. (Indeed, this was a serverside fix, simultaneous on all platforms including Switch)
In fact, I actually kinda like the discovery that “door X cannot contain Y”. The only complaint is that if they don’t want players using this to optimize their runs, they should (1) recalculate their Dragonite payouts to balance out the higher “win rate”, OR (2) actually shuffle which doors cannot contain which rooms (e.g. with weekly reset – for one week the Dragon boss cannot be door 6, for next week it cannot be door 3, and so on).
