Sandstorm elemental is bugged.

Or the description needs changing.

It is creating 8 gems AND THEN creating another 8, with them overriding each other quite often…

Most double creation spells work this way. No overwrite is minority.

Edit: No-overwrite spell is written as “Create a mix of N [color] and [color] gems”, for example, Takshaka. Normal double creation like sandstorm elemental always have possibility of overwrite.

I respect the response however it makes 0 sense.

The verbage is simple. And the spell should reflect that.

Just because “its always been that way” doesn’t mean its correct.

“Create X number of Y gems” in this game always means “Convert X number of non-Y gems into Y gems”. Apply this logic to double creation and you know how it will work.

I’m sorry but you are wrong…

There is zero consistency in this game and my frustration is not aimed at you, but rather to the devs who dont QA and can never be bothered to respond when called out.

Put Queen B and Great maw and this new sandstone thing in a team, slow the game speed to 1 and notice both Queen B and Maw create their gems at the same time whereas the sandstone creates one AND THEN the other.

There is literally no difference in the wording of either of the spells and therefor no reason for inconsistency.

Verbage is simple and so should the spell be

Text needs to be updated.

QB should stay: Create 9 Green and 9 Brown Gems

Sandstorm Elemental should be: Create 9 Yellow “Gems” and “then” 9 Brown Gems.

I invested shiny keys into this and another L for gems of war. The creation overrides 4 and 5 matches, great design and description …

What other spells are you talking about? QB creates 2 types of a gems at a same time, not consequently.

Just looking at troops native to Drifting Sands, the Great Maw also has “create 8 brown and 8 yellow gems” as part of its spell.

Ok, same time it is. But look at the first cast of the video. The top left was green before cast, and becomes brown after. That’s what I call overwrite. If it were no overwrite, both green and brown shall left untouched.

By the way, the first cast creates 9 green and 10 brown. So Bountiful Gems applies only once.

Sandstorm Elemental create first yellow then brown. It is different from QB. My mistake. So it can overwrites not only yellow previously on board, but also newly created yellow. Worse than QB. On the bright side, Bountiful Gems seems to apply twice.

The point is Sandstorm creates a yellow and then create a brown, not at the same time like QB does. and cause of this he owerwrite his newly created gems and this is strange and i can’t remember any other card (without using words “then” and “after that”) with spells like that

This has been inconsistent for a while. See Knights of a Feather.
It appears that more recent troops create one then the other while older troops create them at the same time? I have not checked all of them to see if that is always the case.

Whatever is supposed to be correct I stand by my statement in that thread. Spells that work differently from each other should have different text.

Hasn’t this been around years.

When a troop creates any gem. It rewrites any gem.

And whether it does it same time, or seconds later.

Still the same outcome. Is this really a thread.

Or am I missing something.

You can’t have consistent text.

Because countries put words in different order IE china, Russia. And some countries misspell English. IE USA .

So aslong as we know, what it actually means, then consistency is redundant.
