Is this for real? Three weeks now! Will I get a refund for all that BS? I can’t imagine why this is so slow. I know this is not Call of Duty, but still it’s an online game and 95% of the time I’m watching loading screen ![]()
Been sharing as much information as possible about why this is taking longer than we want to get this resolved.
I shared this yesterday, which is the latest I have to share
We have updated some logging on our side, to try and help locate what is happening. Especially as yhe logs I got from some players from their devices are only helpful if the game crashes, and this is causing an infinite load/softlock. So, those logs unfortunately aren’t helpful at all.
Again, we currently don’t need further reports. Got a heap of existing reports which I can reach out to if more information is needed.
Thanks to those who got back to me, I’ll let the team know that notifications and Private relay aren’t affecting it and pass on the comments around offline mode
An observation. Everything seemed to work out okay in our guild family the past days. Around weekly reset, several members reported having the issue again. There’s one thing that usually happens around that time, getting an update to the data files as part of connecting to the server. I suspect this might be related to the issue in some way.
Je suis toujours incapable de me connecter avec mon iphone ca devient vraiment embêtant, ca fait plus de 3 jours que ca dure vous devez arranger le bug c’est urgent!
I had some luck too. I experienced the login bug since thurs 10/8. Then since Saturday really had no issue with opening the game and getting in. Even today, Monday, played entensively throughout the day, was able to fully load game. But for the last two hours, the bug is back. Cannot get past loading screen. Really really odd.
all I know is, if you see the castle on game load, YOU WILL GET IN! IYKYK ![]()
Rather than delete and reinstall I tried “offload app” in settings/ipad storage/ gems of war. After off loading “reinstall” appears in the same area. Did that, then restart ipad and I was up and running again
Can those having this issue still, try this alternative - Offload instead of uninstalling - and let me know if anything changes
Offloading and reloading/restarting the app has no impact on the inability of the game to proceed past the Logging In screen on my iPhone. It still gets stuck with the spinning wheel after that.
what device do you have and what version of ios?
also @esslee what device and what version are you using as well?
Trying to see if there is like, a troubleshooting that works for some people and not others, and vice versa
iPhone 14 running iOS 26.6.2
I’m running iPhone 15 pro max, IOS 27.0.1
I just booted the app clean, meaning it was not running or accessible from the background. Game stuck on loading screen.
Fully closed the app—as in swipe up and to the right. Swipe up to fully close apps.
Went into settings to offload app. Relaunched app, did not get past load screen.
I fully closed app again, relaunched it and wow. I just got in—was about to give up too.
as someone else has said, there seems to be no rhyme or reason.
Several players in my guild have been unable to log in to the game for the last couple of days. The eternal loading screen.
I have had this issue happen for the 3rd time today. It seems when it happens it is always around 15:00 EST. I tried deleting the app but not the data today. When the app was reinstalled the game still would not work. I had to delete everything then reinstall everything. So I would suspect something is corrupting the data file and not the game itself. At the start of a new week there is something that goes on with the new troops and shiny levels. If you level the new troops shiny levels they do not update in the town quests at the start of the day and I think something occurs around 15:00 EST that causes them to update. So maybe something strange is going on with them in the 9.4 update.
If you level the new troops shiny levels they do not update in the town quests at the start of the day and I think something occurs around 15:00 EST that causes them to update.
But I would then expect that to be the case for everyone, on all platforms, or at least also on Android and Steam.. I mean, unless everyone else in here is doing that exact same thing, I am not sure it’s related.
I am using iPad (A16) running 27.0.1 - the latest update. I had the issue before the iOS update.
My log in issue started happening on the Monday following the 9.4 update.
I haven’t had any problems running GoW on my iPhone SE 2nd gen.
ps After doing “offload/reinstall app” it is important to perform a forced restart before opening GoW
It is important to perform a FORCED restart before opening GoW
13 pro max latest 26.7.1
Latest gow and the version before update.
Same issues.
Hard restart helps. I would say 90% success but quite unrealistic to play that way everyday.
Yes, when castle appears your in.
Nobody mentioned this before but some times when the game starts loading screen just goes off. Like someone just switched the phone off. Black dark nothing and after about 4-5 seconds its back like nothing ever happened and you’re in… Strange
Hey, this issue for about a week. On Sunday did one more re-install. And for last two days works without any issues. I have not updated anything, still iOS 27.0.1. No changes in settings.
Yes, I have noticed the same thing with the black screen. It rarely happens to me, but I have encountered it before, with these login issues.
yes, if you see the castle, you’re in!! Would love more ppl to corroborate this one—it’s kinda funny.

This might be super helpful, thank you. What iOS is it running?
I’ve just bought a season premium pass that I haven’t been able to use due to this issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times, both in iOS 26 and now in iOS 27 (I’m using an iPhone 13). This never happened in the past. I guess this is going to be my final purchase on this game and better use that money on games more reliably that I can fully enjoy.
