central spire are not random generated teams, so make your own thoughts why your opponent used it on offense there…
Central spire also has a ton of 4x Fire Bombs teams and other joke teams, that seem to have seeped through old defense teams… right back at you, make your own thoughts.

Apparently all the defence teams are from before the PvP change. Someone found out by getting themself as an opponent - it’s in the forum somewhere.
A straight-up 1/3 reduction in Gem creation was massive, there can be no doubts about that.
The joke teams will never completely die. Perhaps the game should track which side triggered each KO and adjust VP accordingly.
These are not necessarily “jokes”, but players willing to help others out by giving them an easy win instead of being selfish.
I wonder with the random ghost accounts that seem to be part the league ladders if there are just random old pvp defenses from those accounts, as well.
I’m split on the defense team issue - yeah it’s nice to get a 4x firebomb team every once in awhile, but tackling harder teams from higher level players really helped me learn a lot. Of course, I’m happy to take losses and my thought going into a battle where I am outmatched is usually, hey, let’s just see what happens. Consequently, my win rate is around 74%, but I’m a much better player than if I always played it ftw and was at 98%.

Except that you didn’t and you still don’t.
Yes, you say something about Journey becoming harder and maybe doing something for Journey requirements specifically, but not a single word about actual troop nerf itself. In fact, you seem very happy with how they did it and use anecdotical evidence to support claims that the troops are still decent powerhouses and nobody has really lost anything of value (perhaps, because, as far as you are concerned, nobody should be using these troops ever for the simple reason that you don’t like them, you’ve made that much pretty clear in the past).
So Seekra looped 4 times and stopped? And you won like a candy from a baby afterwards? Guess you would be just as happy if your hypothetic Seekra stooped after four casts and then AI won like a candy from the baby. Feels so good.
Besides, Rock Worm, for example, can loop 10 times in a row (so should probably be nerfed) yet I don’t see Rock Worm teams around…
Long story short - the actual troop nerf was an overkill and should’ve been done in a more measured manner and no amount of Journey requirement tweaking will make the troop itself more viable. It is not helpful and even detrimental for any game with something at stake (basically - any sigil based mode). But that train has long since gone - they never give back anything, not even a tiny sliver, of what they have taken as that requires admitting a mistake first. Enjoy your party of helping newer players by limiting the options available to them, I’ll stop beating the dead horse.
Why are you singling me out? Because I’m clearly NOT the only one happy-ish with the nerf, there’s been several posts saying the same. And to make things clear: I didn’t ask for the nerf, anywhere, not on the forums, not in support tickets, not even once. So I’m not sorry to say that I’m not to blame for the nerf. I’m just happy I can now play PvP without losing all the time, and play against teams that are finally something else than 3 journey looper teams over, and over, and over again - what’s wrong with that?
I wouldn’t, because I wouldn’t use it on my team. For a million of reasons, with the main one being that they hit for very low damage and battles take forever and one day, and then some.
Just the fact that I’m not crying “overkill” in each of my posts doesn’t mean that I don’t think it was an overkill, and I didn’t hide it from day 1. Don’t put words into my mouth, please.
That was the case in the old PvP, I had several easy teams like that and I rotated them on defense and I could never understand why people put up the hardest and most annoying teams they have for PvP. But now that it requires copying & pasting teams from regions, as you can’t use your saved slots for defense… if these 4xfirebomb teams and other joke teams are set consciously by people, and not leftovers from old PvP somehow, then kudos to them, although I’d be very surprised. I’m too lazy myself…
As for current pvp:
Central pvp uses old defense teams in their database.
Everywhere else has random generated teams.
Nowhere uses people’s offense team as they advertised, at current stage of the game.
So if you see pathfinder troops in defense team, if it’s at central spire, it’s just from old data, now they are more likely to lose; if it’s at everywhere else, just random troops there, as mentioned by someone before.
They made this nerf because they have to fix pvp in the near future. And they expect complaints from people in the regions where the restrictions are for example stryx, because everyone will use Egris looping team for offense and it won’t be as easy as now if they fixed the pvp team error but not nerf Egris.
Just explaining and clarifying, no intention to defend them on the nerf.

I have 2 accounts and i wont suffer with my smurf, thanks to devs choices to get rid of pathfinder troops… because it took 24 mins to finish a delve with the BALANCED pathfinder troops. Honestly this is not fun to play 8-9min long matches from time to time… this is a torture.
I get always pretty mad, when developers try to sell bullsht like “the introduced update was made based on player feedback”, but the actual feedback is ignored. Nothing happened regarding the balance in the last weeks… no comment

I don’t think I’ve ever lost to a pathfinder team.
Gobtruffle on the other hand is an instant loss, even when my team is 3x as strong as my opponent and I’m picking freeze. Guess who got nerved recently and who still is awful to play against (and with) …
Any word yet on any additional changes to next week’s Journey event? Please consider increasing the amount of miles awarded for higher level battles and/or reducing the amount of miles needed to complete guild reward stages. Also please consider further reducing the rate of enemy level increases as the event progresses.
Or just reverse pathfinder changes and bring back the fun. Thanks.
And drop the penalties for taking longer. How about that? That would help.

Depends on the alternatives. It looks like we’ll get Purple Wargare as Journey restriction next week, which is like going into a gun fight armed with the picture of a knife. Personally, I’m very sure I’d have more fun clicking the same button until my finger hurts, for full points, than clicking multiple buttons twice as often, for half points.
