Kudos on finally releasing a weapon that explodes yellow gems. (Bonus points for it being a Red weapon as well!)
Now if you could just release a yellow weapon that explodes something that matters.

Why does using red matter? I was feeling a bit disappointed that it didn’t create a lightstorm (the way Mountain Crusher and Arboreal Crystal aid themselves), so what did I miss?
You can pair it with Stormcaller to mitigate that a bit. It also has Stun the first enemy and self-barrier to pretend (more) that it has Titan talents
How many Red weapons explode a significant amount of gems?
