I’ve been punished for my playstyle

I’ve been playing this game for 3–4 years, and I’ve collected almost every troop and nearly every weapon in the game. I also have around 8,000 pet levels. It was pretty close to 100% completion .

I buy every Gold Mark mythic troop each season, so I haven’t traded many Books of Deeds. I’ve also used every book as soon as I got it because my goal is to reach 100% completion. The books will always going to be consumed sooner or later. Especially since I had already maxed out all the Magic Kingdoms, and skill points really aren’t that important after the Astral Spires.

As you can see, the recent patch has been a catastrophe for me. I received almost nothing from the conversion because I didn’t hoard resources. All my kingdoms are only around level 45 some are 50, while my guild members, who have played for just as long as I have, are already around level 60 and more. Only because they hoard resources. After I finished the weekly double gold hour in PvP, the fights definitely became harder for me. Most players seem to have benefited from the update and gained higher stats.

But the biggest issue is that I realized I no longer need any rewards after this patch. I don’t need gold because I already own all the troops. I don’t need Gold Marks because they feel worthless now. Crystals seem to only be obtainable from weekly missions, so it feels like I’m no longer rewarded with anything valuable for actually playing the game. As for the completion goal, ‘infinite levels’ feels like it might take just a little more time to achieve compared to the old lvl20-power30.

So instead of rising your kingdoms by bying 25 books per season you prefers to get a troops before others. That’s the reason why your mates who didn’t do that now have a higher prestige . They had a higher kingdom lvl and power before 9.2. As for marks - seasonal still costs 2500 GMs And you still can make a picture you’ve posted as close to a 100% as it possible

I feel like I’m being punished because every vault weekend I am working. If it was on a 3 or 5 week rotation instea of the even number then I would be able to do half of them. I can find a different job or quit my job or live with it. I choose to live with it because it is not the end of the world. I have actually tried to talk folks out of buying the gold mark troop but they knew better. I am sure they are pointing fingers in all directions too instead of looking at the person in the mirror. The devs are not punishing anyone. They are just updating a game

Well, I actually talked about this with a guild mate. We can farm around 6k GMs every PvP season (11 weeks), while getting about 30 royal deeds from other events. Since you always need a 1:1 ratio of books and royals to level a kingdom, I usually traded about 3.5k GMs for books and spent the remaining 2.5k on gold mark troop.

My reasoning was simple: there’s no point hoarding books if you don’t have enough royals to use them. Meanwhile, my guild mate insisted on trading everything for books. He claimed he could always farm royals from merchants later. But it turned out that staying in the top 3 of the PvP league already consumed all his time. So he had to hoard the spare books.

He actually didn’t have higher kingdom lvl and power before 9.2. because he lacked the royals needed.

Yeah, I basically wasted 20k GMs on the troops — that could have been 200 books instead, nearly enough to max 7 kingdoms. But it turns out he’s more than 300 total kingdom levels ahead of me. I don’t know… it might take years to get enough crystals for 300 levels. And I don’t think there’s even a way to catch up, since you can’t really farm crystals.

I also feel the update was unfair. I regret spending items to level up kingdoms to level 20.

I feel punished, because i used to buy fifa packs

And now the 2017 servers dont work. So i lost what i paid for. Iv heard EA does this every year to there servers.

Imagine ten years of packs spent on players. For it not ever really to be owning them.

Yep youve definately been punished dude, but you got to play billy big balls , and be most complete over your friends. So you got punished, for being a (insert word here) didnt you

I will try to be as professional about this as I can, but this is coming from someone who played a lot of PvP last year and part of this year for gold marks, so that I could level up my kingdoms faster. I converted most of my writs to :purple_circle: deeds before the PvP updates about 2 years ago because leveling up the magic kingdoms to level 20 was very beneficial.

However, most veteran players were able to get their kingdom levels in the 16 to 18 range with books from the PvP shop, but then they realized that leveling up those kingdoms up to 20 was going to take a lot of time, effort, and patience.

I know that these players were in the minority, but patch 9.2 punished these players. Plain and simple. The 2,000 exp for each kingdom level from 16 to 20 was a horrible evaluation. They honestly should have given us 5,000 exp for levels 16 to 18 and 10,000 exp for levels 19 to 20, just to make it more reasonable.

Thankfully, while I was trying to upgrade my last kingdom to level 20, I hoarded up other colored deed books from the PvP shop, but some people were not so lucky. This latest update essentially “leveled out the playing field” and raised the average player’s team score, and I have no issue with that. But the resources I basically threw in the trash over the last year or so is astounding, and it makes me feel like I sold stock in Amazon before the market value sky-rocketed!

This is the nature of games like this, and I will learn to accept it. Shiny leveling troops is like the “new” deed book wall that we had, but we have crystals now to bypass it. This change was for the better, and I am glad that they made it easier to level up kingdoms. If I was a wise man, I would just hoard gold marks now, hoping that the market value would sky-rocket in the distant future.:chart_increasing:

What I like probably most with this update is that pets become somewhat important again.

I partially agree with what you said. It’s clear that players who had many kingdoms at level 20 were “punished” for having used resource to upgrade them instead of waiting. Devs could have done a better job to compensate those veteran players. However, these players did enjoy higher stat points from kingdom levels so those resource did benefit them for a long period of time. Unfortunately, when a switch-over like these takes place, it’s difficult if not outright impossible to give everyone a fair conversion. I understand your frustration. It’s a shame it happened this way.

I don’t think your assessment about spending GMs on PvP mythic is quite accurate. Besides buying random deed books at 100 GMs per book, we could also buy imperial deeds at 40 GMs per book in the PvP shop. Therefore, if you chose to prioritize your kingdom levels pre 9.2, you definitely could. You just need to split your GMs between deed books and imperial deeds.

I had a similar feeling after update 9.2, as I was also investing in upgrading my kingdoms with books. The difference in bonuses between the books I’d previously used to level up my kingdoms and the books I still had, which were automatically converted into new resources, was too great.

If there’s no compensation, I’m quitting. Now my account is weaker than half the people in the guild.

I agree 100 percent. You and I played the game based on the rules and are way behind people who did not upgrade kingdoms. I posted this once 9.2 info was leased saying it ignored the 30 books to go 16,17,18,19,20. It let people who were not spending books leapfrog heavily active players with 9.2.

I sent a ticket to request compensation asking to look at my kingdom upgrade logs (date done), and they sent a reply in 10 minutes saying too bad, so sad. I replied I am quitting the game and puzzle quest 3 with 0 replies. They lack of concern for players who have been playing for years was mind blowing. It was a resource that I spent on 4 kingdoms 2 days before the announcement. 120 books lost because I played the game right. But you are 1000000 % correct.

I have players in the same guild that were are the same kingdom level and are now 20 levels each kingdom above me. That is like +70 skill point above me. This can never be made up. I am 40 - 55. They are 60 - 75. Crazy.

I am shocked at the lack of concern from the dev team. They cared more about the people not actively upgrading than the people who did. Mind blowing. Everyone playing the game right should be mad.

I do not blame you if you quit. Because of my guild commitments, I had to stay past gw. But this is my last week.

They think a +1 skll bonus makes up for the +4 skill lost in book value difference. THE MATH DOES NOT ADD UP. Why did the beta testers not call this out? Also, they had an unfair advantage knowing to save books and resources.

From what I understand, they did. And they were ignored, it seems.
I agree this was deeply unfair, and the devs don’t seem to care.

Maybe its a new age thing.

But game companies are companies. All about money.

Some people brlieve, they have a say or that companies care.

Imagine walking in wallmart, asda, mcdonalds or any other company and saying i quit, im not shopping no more. The company would laugh, or not reply. Yet for some reason, customers brlieve they cam treat game companies different.

You cant, if you leave no one notices, watch thd door doesnt slam you on the way out lol.

I laugh everytime, someone says give me or i quit, no one ever gets what they want soooo.

Ps. Il get some replies from the deluded that imagine they matter to these multi million dollar companies. But you dont. Just wake up. A companies a company. Not your friend.

Pps. Your messaging jeto, from jeto it goes to her manager, from manager to some upper boss, from there to a 505 exec. From there to a digital bros. Lower rung person lol. Do you see what im saying. Were insects, digital bros. Dont even know we exist. Play thegame or play another one, but 20 years ago it was buy a game, on disc and put up with it. Ps2 and xbox original. Didnt have online support. Games came with bugs, and crashes. And you lived with it. The internet has made some people believe they matter. Newsflash you dont, your a insect in 8 billion people. Nothing more to anyone, outside family and friends.

Yeah, that is the problem. Companies used to do the right thing at the sacrifice of a few dollars. They should never ever screw over the loyal players/customers. The only thing one can do now is stop playing to reduce player count. See Concord.

Yes but il see your concord. And raise it , the other 10000 games made. That lived lol.

Theres always a couple of anomolys, in every stat.

I most likely quitting the game soon on good terms. I feel like when I get my 5 magic kingdoms to level 60 that I have beaten the game, personally. 70 will be too far away. I am not bitter for the money I spent on this game however, it was all my choice and most of the time it was purchases I did not regret. The game also has been up and running for like 12 years, that is unreal.
