I just reread the helpdesk article, which says as much. Thanks.
Immortals disappearing in PvP happens when using in their home PvP regions without meeting regionâs normal (kingdom / creature type / color) requirement. Team validator routine wrongly judges the team ânot validâ and thus wipes it. When using Immortals that meet regionâs normal requirement, the team does not get wiped.
In guild war thereâs no PvP region and therefore you can only use Immortals that meet normal requirement. Those team will not get wiped.
@Jeto like last wars, is there a defense bonus for using all different weapons/troops? or can we use the same troops without losing score
You only have one defence team, so should not be possible to use the same weapon twice.
With regard to troops, I think jeto already confirmed there is no issue/penalty for duplicate troops on the same team.
Thank you for replying also @Jeto getting cliffy in citadel battles is not funny, I hope cliffy doesnât ruin Xbox guild war experience
Is a Keep chosen for every day of Guild Wars or do we choose it only once and it is our color for all days of Guild Wars e.g. for 4 days we are the defenders of the Blue Keep?
Is it possible to change the chosen Keep? Is it possible to lock the chosen Keep so that no one can change it again?
I understand that I will not see the score, but will it be possible for the GM to determine who did not participate in Guild Wars on a given day?
Maybe they will display at least the playersâ nicknames in the individual locations in defense?
From what I read, the Keep is chosen 3 days prior to the GW start and this is locked in for the entire GW event. So yes, for 4 days we are defending the âBlueâ Keep if that is chosen.
Yes you can change the chosen Keep within that 24 hour period. Only the top ranking guild members can do this and it is locked to all other guild members. If you wish to lock it so only you as the GM can change it, then you would have to demote everyone else out of the top ranks so they cannot access it.
You are correct, we only see our own score and the total guild score as per the screenshots so it will not be possible to see who didnât participate. When setting a defense location, you can see who else is on the same location - but this only applies to defenders. It wonât help you determine who actually attacked during GW.
Hope that helps a bit. Iâm sure it will be easier once we all experience the first GW and then we can give feedback to help improve the GW for the next GW update.
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation
Will we be able to tell how many people have defeated each position when choosing our route? So that we can go for the complete set bonus?
Iâm looking forward to the strategies needed and team work in guild for the new guild wars. There are some interesting aspects.
When devs go and look at future revisions, can you look at the scoring. Youâve said itâs simpler, yes it looks that way. However we have no clue how our players will have performed unless all 30 take 5 screenshots daily, even though they will probably not get all the right data required.
The old versions could tells us;
each indiividual score by player for all 6 days, if we monitored the in guild menu.
the player could tell us their daily score/report and we as GL could see it by looking in game
we had inter guild rankings, from 1 to 5, with it being possible for any player to check in game to see if they were winning that race
We could see defence wins on our own individual screens. We could caculate how many defence wins the guild had.
With external help, we could plot how our players did, what teams actually won, what teams worked and that was what the old guild wars was great for.
We donât know if any defence has won a battle either, as there is no individual defence screen for players. I think we can see if all defences are set I suppose.
We canât even begin to guess how our opponent is doing vs us on a given day as there is no semblance of knowing. In the past, we could see how many battles they had played by seeing how many battles the paragon had faced. If Paragon was 1/5 near end of the day, we knew there were multiple losses to defences before them.
The in guild individual competition was huge. We logged alliance high scores by day, colour, defence win best ratios and everything like that in alliances. We were also able to run leagues thanks to some savvy folks, where the whole alliance, even the new guilds could interact vs every one who entered across the spectrum of guilds, comparing scores and teams.
Now we will have a guild leaderboard and a completely unintuitative, borderline pointless us vs them scorecard, with no real way to see it as anything as two numbers. The only way you might is if your guild regularly get the set bonuses.
The post you made about reducing the overhwelmingness on players was really good, itâs good to hear that. However I donât want to be overly negative, but more or less once something has been released, youâve ignored feedback completely. This guild wars needs the ability for players to know their cog in the guildâs wheel has been useful, we need the ability to see individual scoring and we neeed all of what made the old guild wars fun from an interaction point of view, adding into this version.
That I am sure will be a win win, as there will be some fun aspects of this version. The one last thing in compettiive play, which guild wars is, the bugs that can be abused need to be removed and fixed. No news on those in this patch.
Thank you
no, all the bonus we have mentioned are the only bonuses - so there are none for your team construction.

There are no penalties or bonuses for your team builds

@Pit - this was in response to another question 7 days ago. So y9u can use as many Takshakas as you like
I crafted them all, including the weapons. Weapons not in inventory until after global reset, but all of the new dragons are there. Played with Chrys. in PVP and E12. So it works. Took me 19 tries to get all 6 dragons⌠hard to see so much dragonite fly out the door at once after a year of painfully finding and hoarding it.
Think ill wait a couple of hours till reset to craft the rest. I know gems of war (havent) got a long history of introducing buggy new content XD but ill wait anyway.
(assuming this is during the 3 days out and prior to the final hour)
If a member makes a mistake or changes their mind when or after adding their defending team to a building,
- can they edit it?
- delete the whole team?
- change to a different building?
- Will they get an invalid warning for any troop not meeting the restriction?
What about small guilds? From what i read this new GW is even more useless to play for small guilds like ours (5 members) than the old GW.
All Guilds can play, even if you have 1 member. You just will have a lower morale bonus for not having a full Keep of defenders.
Each location you do not have a player on, will be defended by a Guardian team.
You have up until an hour before the event begins to make changes. I would not leave it that long, as you have had multiple days prior to double check your teams, but the option is there.
Once a Keep is locked in though, it cannot be changed. So there is not the risk of the Keep changing right before the event and everyoneâs teams being booted from the locations.
Again, I would ensure everyone in the Guild is talking about their Keep colour choice and setting teams before there is a risk of the event starting and not being able to make any defense changes.
