The individual rewards, for number of battles won during the event, look significantly better than the old GW rewards – particularly for those of us that never got anywhere close to bothering the leaderboard.
The guild rewards, for winning a day: may be harder to get initially for small guilds, depending where your trophy count seeded you. But eventually the ELO algorithm should shake us out so that you get ranked alongside, and I assume matched against, similarly-scoring guilds; where you’d expect to win about half of the time.
I DM a casual guild and I’m cautiously optimistic about new GW. Even with low participation, and even if we’re matched out of our league, it still seems to me worth going for the individual rewards (for which I think you need to be only good enough to beat the “easy” team at the Gate? if the subsequent battles look too hard, just fight more Gate battles) with the chance at the guild rewards as a nice-if-it-happens bonus.
I can’t seem to toggle over to Guild Wars Medallion and Rewards in the Guild Wars screen on Xbox Series X.. am I missing some kind of magic trick to get over there with a controller?
So all we are going to see is diamantina and 3 Takshaka or Pharoah Khafru’s in the palace defenses and win with broken spire troops? You even play your game?
It sounds worse than it is. I beat all those teams tonight in PVP with 3 diiferent Broken Spire teams - I played T3 in Central Spire. Test it out. Ymmv, ofc, depending on your stats. You have to use Broken Spire troops and weapon but you can use Elementalist. It was fun.
Of course you can stun and freeze them if you get a 4 match Zuul and double empowered might give more trouble than them teams no curse options in broken spire
A little open guild issue. I think it’s better to have high lvl players in the palace, but a newbie already took one of the spots there and he/she doesn’t use the guild chat. A bit brutal, but is there some way to remove a player from a building?
Disagree. An elemental team would be a team full of elemental troops and a weapon from Nexus. But this is semantics and totally beside the point - which is, using a team that complies with this week’s guild war restrictions, you can beat the highest level meta teams in the game. Sorry if that spoils it for everyone who feels the need to complain about how bad it is before we’ve even started.
People will just need to learn how to be competitive again, and stop complaining, expecting to get “free” wins by using brain dead strategies. You want prismatic orb and Diamantina band-aids in Guild Wars? Why not just have an option to purchase more wins?
Show is over folks. Strap up your big boy pants, put on your boots and get ready. This is real pvp. Not the nonsense we have been doing for over a year…
