I have not seen it already answered so I am asking… How will our Medals (Nysha, Anu, Orpheus, etc.) effect our Defensive Team setups and when are they logged/locked in to the Def team configuration ?
I would expect Medals to be as usual on our manually controlled Attack side of things.
You always have to change them. We have been asking for the feature for our medals to be assigned to our teams when we make them for years.
Instead, you have to switch your medals all of the time. For me, it’s 3 Nysha medals when I’m playing most game modes, 3 Orpheus when I’m playing Guild Wars, and then making sure to have 3 Orpheus medals equipped when I’m not playing because of elementalist in Guild Wars. And sometimes, I need an Anu medal, but don’t need the Orpheus medals, so I need to equip Nysha medals, or was it Season medals?
Yes, that was an overly complicated explanation, but that’s how this game is designed.
There kind of IS that option, if you pay for the “medallion” (paid battle pass), since it allows you to pay for rewards you missed by not getting enough wins, so it doesn’t affect guild war scoring, but as far as your rewards are concerned, you bought more wins.
I know you can buy the guild war medallion and even buy rewards with gems, even if you lose all your battles, but I was implying that people wouldn’t need to actually win battles and get “free” points with some ridiculous pay-to-win scheme.
There is a time and place to relax and have fun, but guild wars is completely different. Or at least should be. We need to throw ourselves in the fire and just see how it is. Elementalist and the most powerful troop types could rip our poor Broken Spire teams apart because we are more dependant on luck and good starting boards because we do can’t strategie as much without empowered troops.
It’s just really difficult to make guild wars challenging but fair at the same time. We just have to try to remove all doubt, ignore the imbalance, and throw ourselves in the fire to see what happens. If we come out alive, we will become better players. I think. Maybe.
Some kinda list showing the whole guild roster and who are already in buildings and who are not would be nice.. I do have paper and a pencil but… Hopefully there will be a lot more info about the stats of other guildies in the future too, I loved the old gw for that..
Atm you can’t even know if a player plays his battles or not
This absolutely needs to change in the future imo
The only way to know the performance of the players is to rely on their willingness to collect screenshots
100% agree. We need a way to see each player’s win/loss stats and most importantly we need to see our defense win/loss so we know if they are effective. @Jeto Can you pretty please pass this feedback to future improvements? Thank you!
Already noted as feedback in the Guild Wars Reforged post:
Here are a few examples of some features we already have slated for upcoming updates, based on testing and feedback during the beta.
Guild UI & Guild Scoring
Currently, there isn’t a good way to view all of your Guildmate’s scores. This is always something we wanted to do, but it became apparent during the beta that what we had planned wasn’t nearly enough for all the data-junkies out there! (Hey – we get it – we’re data-junkies too)
Wasn’t removed since this is a different product entirely. It just has not been added to the build yet. I get the frustration, especially for those of us used to the old way. Personally, I like this approach. There are many players new to GW who are learning it for the first time and there’s no pressure about individuals scores being posted. That will come, and when it does, they will be better, more experienced players by that time. Then they can work on improving defense teams. It is a lot all at once.
@Jeto - I’ve been posting all the updates and questions you’ve answered here to our guild family. I was asked to share our THANKS TO YOU for the excellent communication around this launch. It made the whole process much easier for us. Kudos, and hope you get to enjoy some relaxing time over the weekend. Cheers.
Well, the experienced players do not want to think they won and in the last few hours someone posts 10K. Seems fishy. You have to know how your D performed. How many battles used / left.
