Guild Wars Reforged Feedback

They just need to rotate the Attack restrictions for the 6 different colors (:red_circle::green_circle::blue_circle::brown_circle::yellow_circle::purple_circle:) and have our Defensive keeps match the colored attack restriction to create more competition and diversity. Troop types and especially Kingdoms are too imbalanced.

The devs need to focus on proper match-making and cleaning up all the bugs, instead of other things that they will never understand at a high level.

its been a while …

what they really need is some high level players from the forum that has regular unbiased feed back and allow them to consult direct with the devs.

as you say they dont understand the late game. who better to consult than the actual playerbase,

@Lucien That is one of the main issues I have had with the game, ever since I tried to become a better player and learn different strategies to open my mind up to new challenges. I honestly think that Guild Wars in the past only needed a few minor tweaks to make it the most competitive.

Now? Too many of us are getting mis-matches, defenses or offenses have clear advantages or disadvantages, and there are a lot of other issues that will probably never be resolved.

An elected council voted for by the community to talk with the developers would be great so that we could voice our opinions, but people that visit the forums frequently now that dream is never going to happen. Maybe I should get on the kangaroo express and go over to Melbourne myself?:kangaroo:

Soooo, the next GW reatrictions is GHULVANIA.

I do wish a developer would organise a stream to show us a viable team and how to beat 3 takshakas.

I get what you mean here, but we have Morthanis Darkness and Gray King in that kingdom. Guess its all about charging Gray King and silence the enemy Tak team before they start their rampage :wink:

Ghulvania has issues with mana generation and a reliable way to cleanse. We have The Ghost Queen to help, but if the enemy gets 4+ matches and shuts us down with elementalist, it could be difficult to recover from. But if we can get a good starting board, and shut them down with The Gray King–Game Over.

Ghulvania has some very powerful troops (even Doomed Scythe is deadly), but we will have to rely on luck more next time. Just make GWs color restrictive and rotate the different colors each time. Too much imbalance.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ m not whining or something. I just so much hate this ā€œifā€. :sweat_smile: We were promised guild wars focused on players’ skills. Praying for a good starting board to fill in our mythics doesn’t feel very skillful to me.

I’m sure our guild’s masterminds will invent something. I am just curious how it is supposed to be played, from a dev’s perspective.

Oh, and your idea to rotate colour restricted GWs is awesome!

I legit wonder what a lower level/no mythic player is supposed to do with Ghulvania. It doesn’t even have an exploding weapon yet when quite a few kingdoms have 2 already/

Yeah, the devs just need to rotate the colors every GW for Attack and Defense (so this past GW, we would use a :red_circle: attack restriction while defending the :red_circle: keep). I know this might be a selfish request, but it would make things so much easier. Kingdom restrictions put too much stress on newer players because it can be difficult to create teams that stand a chance against Chrysantherax, Takshaka, and others (and even experienced players can see when more luck than skill will determine victory or defeat).

If an elementalist gets 4+ matches, we only have Dark Priestess (who can cleanse a single ally at the cost of their life and can make Doomed Scythe even more destructive) and Trick and Treat that can only cleanse itself. Why Ghulvania doesn’t have a weapon that explodes (colored) gems by now is beyond me.:rofl:

Just make Guild Wars simple. Even if I gave the developers and in-depth analysis on how to make the weaker kingdoms better, there is no chance they would even consider my ideas. Kingdom and troop restrictions feel like a slot machine. Enough is enough.

I feel like this last red restriction was a little 2 easy. Gotta be somewhere in the middle. If i want to wipe enemies in 1-2 casts with no skill ill play the other pvp or explore.

Remember that your goal in a guild war isn’t just to win, but to score more points than your opponent. And that’s not something you can accomplish in just one or two casts.

The core issue is missable collectibles you only have a single realistic chance to obtain. As long as they can’t fix those to be obtained by participating instead of winning I’m perfectly fine with the enemy team dropping dead as start-of-combat effect.

Great job on updates so far. Here are some things that still might be useful to players.

  1. Limit defense troops to 1 unique of each card. (No 3 Stellas, Queen Bees, or 3 Takshakas on a team) This was done by implementing a point reduction if using multiple in the old guild wars.

  2. Provide in match data in the menu to show where we are at on bonuses points during a battle.

  3. Post clear notes on what Troops/Weapons change in Guild Wars. Wand of Stars and Stella transform currently but are there other planned transformations? It would be helpful to know.

  4. 30 scores count for offense, but only 27 can set a defense for guilds morale bonus. Allowing 3 players to be on vacation makes sense but guilds still take the hit on offense in this new system. Should only 27 scores count on offense or should 30 be able to set a defense?

  5. Let us view our own guild player scores on offense. We would love to know who to help, or who is fighting the gate 5 times. Currently we are fighting blindfolded.

  6. To really get people using all aspects of the game, make classes on offense and defense limited to the type or kingdom restriction that the battle is using. Example Ghulvannia next month would be limited to Deathknight and if fighting Stryx for example that would be Stormcaller for the defense room.

  7. Allow us to select our teams through our team menu. One of the perks of VIP is getting extra team slots, yet you have excluded to select those team slots from GW and PvP in general.

  8. Sets. The whole concept of sets is cool to help the guild get extra points, but the downside is making sets generally lowers the players individual score as they won’t fight the high scoring palace battle. Why not make all the battles the same points after the gate battle?

  9. Updated standings on Wars completion.

  10. Ability to see the number of players that have fought in both guilds.

  11. Defense room information. Rooms 1-8 in the summary should be labeled with the room name or type instead of the room #.

Thank you for all the work you have put into this currently. The last wars felt like progress compared to the first few. I understand more changes are coming in future updates so some of these suggestions might already be in the works.

Team slots are only accessible in modes without restrictions. How would they work in restricted modes? Grey out every slot that doesn’t meet the restriction?

now that GW has been over a few days..

Anyone else think those Level 70 Guild Sentinels really didn’t do anything except to maybe grief new players?

If I want stats, I’m only buying those Level 30 ones from now on..

That’s what I was coming to see…if the rewards were to be given to this final week or to next season at turnover. Mad I paid for the rewards now.
