Highly unlikely. Book defenses each require a very specific set of troops, which won’t be possible to set up due to region restrictions.
This week I have to thank the Guild Wars purchase issue (and the resulting forum bug report) for reminding me to set defenses, since there is still no in-game popup/notification.

There does not need to be reminders that the notifications about the GW beginning need to be more apparent.
I have passed it onto the team, but at the moment there is no further update.
I understand the practical reason for asking players to not constantly reiterate requests and will of course adhere to it, even though this is the kind of trivially easy to solve issue that could have been sorted right away as a win-win, thus reducing the large pile of pending QoL requests with minimum effort..
..so much so that the fact that it still hasn’t been implemented would suggest that no programmer has yet seen this QoL request in the list.
Looking forward either way.

I really like that. I guess the “Top Player” stuff might happen with patch 8.9 and the scoreboard, so no worries there for now. But I have already a note here: instead of Building 1-8 in the list, use the Building labels itself
So instead of Building 6, its Temple. And Building 8, is Maze. Or the other way around if you count from right to left. But thank you to give us at least an overview were our own people failed, as well as to see where the enemy guild failed.
Hopefully we still get an individual counter to see how our personal Defense Team did. Like in the old days. But the current overview is already helpful, even if we can’t pinpoint which players defense did work and which defenses got steamrolled.
@Jeto would you please describe the numbers of buildings? Is this correct?
It’s all nice and dandy, but what is that thing in a custom-size windowed mode? (And NO, I will not use full screen, I will not use any of the offered resolution options. My own custom size is the only way I roll.)
Hi Nagflar_dv,
We did the work up based on our uneven attack distribution yesterday. That is the correct layout.
We need to be able to see which guild members aren’t attacking. I get why scores are hidden but we absolutely have to know who isn’t participating.
In theory that is seemingly planned for 8.9 Guild Wars Reforged Feedback - #584 by Jeto but you a are of course right. We need to see if some people just have single day fallouts due to RL circumstances, or ride out every GW day and every Defense setup every month. And we need to see the individual score of guild members, to also see if they progress “normal” during GW, or sit 5x at the Gate while “participating and having won 5 fights”.
Playing against guilds that don’t e
ven exist and have no rating, all gate battles for everyone and 0 rating points for winning the day
How does number 3 ranked and 50k ranked guild that doesn’t even exist get paired together besides complete incompetence of the development team
My wife’s guild 2 player guild and ranked 1,667 ![]()
Bugs need to be in their own threads and not in feedback threads.
The missing building names and incorrect end of day result information has since been reported, from their existing threads.
For those who are into pvp, wouldn’t it be better if guild wars were every week? Seems as it is now the rankings move at a glacial rate. Doesn’t seem very exciting to me. I imagine of you’re in a guild that’s into guild wars you’d want to challenge that rank as often as possible.

Not in this current state. It needs a lot of adjustments and polish before it could even be talked about let alone considered.

No. Not everyone has the same schedule and the current Guild Wars is too punishing if you miss a day for completely normal and understandable reasons. Not only that but attack restrictions are ridiculous while defenses are near impossible to beat with some kingdoms. Although I understand the point of competition and a challenge, that must also be balanced. I do not feel like the current Guild Wars is balanced. That and there are too many bugs.
They just need to rotate the Attack restrictions for the 6 different colors (![]()

) and have our Defensive keeps match the colored attack restriction to create more competition and diversity. Troop types and especially Kingdoms are too imbalanced.
The devs need to focus on proper match-making and cleaning up all the bugs, instead of other things that they will never understand at a high level.
its been a while …
what they really need is some high level players from the forum that has regular unbiased feed back and allow them to consult direct with the devs.
as you say they dont understand the late game. who better to consult than the actual playerbase,
@Lucien That is one of the main issues I have had with the game, ever since I tried to become a better player and learn different strategies to open my mind up to new challenges. I honestly think that Guild Wars in the past only needed a few minor tweaks to make it the most competitive.
Now? Too many of us are getting mis-matches, defenses or offenses have clear advantages or disadvantages, and there are a lot of other issues that will probably never be resolved.
An elected council voted for by the community to talk with the developers would be great so that we could voice our opinions, but people that visit the forums frequently now that dream is never going to happen. Maybe I should get on the kangaroo express and go over to Melbourne myself?![]()
