@Jeto - similar to that mentioned above, I did not receive day 4’s GW rewards. It would be appreciated if you could look into (as I thought the fix had been done).

The wand should really be a mythic weapon, similar to the other special ones that can be crafted.
If they had bothered to add rewards remotely useful for players it might have been a lot more popular.
Honest truth I liked it
Because it was random troop, my issue with it , was the no weapon.
They should of had a random epic and below weapons, then I’d of played it lots.
Any mode with no weapons, means no classes. So it’s not inline with the game lore.
Of kingdoms and heros, so I hate it
Guild wars battles seemed the most balanced we’ve had so far. We’ve been bouncing between too easy and too hard all the previous guild wars, but this one had better matches. Could be blind chance, could be the elo system starting to work now it has a bit more data.
I am not sure the elo system starts to work. After I noticed it being a bit weird last month, I kept a closer eye on it this time. From my perspective
it looks like we got paired with Guilds not operating on our level. Even if some of them have higher ranking. Granted, luck and maybe worse Defenses might play a role for the scoring but if its 10k points difference, I just don’t see them in the competition bracket we should have. And quite frankly, the #133 guild who had to fight us? That is a harsh outliner and those poor guys never stood a chance.
My guild has moved up from #83 in July to #69 in August. So yeah, there is some rank-movement happening. I guess we might be in the 50es next month (if current system stays and might not get scrambled with patch 9.9 if patch would come before next GW). But if we then can again fight some guilds 60 ranks below us, or get thrown into the sharkpool against the top#10, its seemingly not working that good. I kinda prefered the old bracket system. You knew that the guilds in your bracket are around your level. If you had fallen/risen 1-2 brackets, you might have gotten situations in fighting tougher [I remember seeing us jump from bracket#4 to #2, and getting such a bloody nose up there we fell right back to #4] or way weaker enemies, but overall I felt that challenge wise it worked better then.
But hey, once Patch 8.8 might give us some internal scoring back to weed out people who attack 5 times the gate, or do not fight at all, I guess guilds interested in GW can start to get back into better fighting shapes and the competition might spark properly up as it should be.

Mind sharing your teams? I really struggled against Takshakas - kept throwing myself at them without any luck.
Nerdie, I had mostly 5-0s. And beat takshakas at the palace.
I can share a couple of teams if you want them, it will be over a year, till those kingdoms come back tho.
The old bracketing system still seems to be around, just in an extremely broken way. Observations:
1.) In the Guild War last month we were located a bit above rank 50. Each day, we got matched against guilds way stronger than us, usually in the top 10. We lost all battles.
2.) In the Guild War last week we were located a bit below rank 50. Each day, we got matched against guilds way weaker than us, usually well below top 100. We won all battles.
It would need a lot more data to analyze this in detail. Our pairings were so extreme though, my guess is there’s just a single bracket going from rank 1 - 50, another bracket going from rank 51 - 150 (or even lower). The server apparently doesn’t care about ELO at all, it just randomly picks two guilds within the same artificial bracket, no matter how far apart their ELO ratings are. Any guild located close to a bracket border is basically guaranteed very one sided pairings.
It is working itself out tho.
Your rankings are changing.
1 to 50 , is a good bracket.
51 to 150 that sounds good to.
Bracket 3 might be 151 to 300 or 350.
You was only just in the top 50, so you got beat.
Then when you was near the top of the 2nd bracket, you smashed your opponents.
Give it a couple more months, the brackets will all get the most consistent guilds, in there right positions.
I would definitely take them for later reference!

I never post anything that doesn’t work, I actually hate that. We used to have 2 Guildies that posted random teams, that didn’t work.
ps. invb4 it’s posted about… I am trying to confirm if this is just test data from the beta that has gone out to live unintentionally, or if the next attack restriction has changed from what I can see in the schedule
Because in the beta we set up GW events for testing and they do not match what is happening or coming up on live, just to make playing a GW event easier.
Yes, the team is aware of the feedback around attack restrictions. I do not have any information if or when they are being changed.
So I understand you guys have to look at feedback.

Example, you give us red, why can’t we just have a colour every month, you’ve done it once.

For me Guild Wars is the pinnacle, the top event in Gems of War, the only event we’re guild competes against guild.
This should be the hardest event, to show it’s the top event, equally should be the top rewards, to show it’s the premier event.
Ino some people aren’t happy at the moment, but let’s not want it diluted into PvP version 2.
Jeto how about you guys come at it from another way, for the people that don’t like it , think the restrictions are a bit tough, make the rewards really good, for every 5-0 win, that includes the palace.

That’s not the intention. Guild Wars is intended to be an event for Guild vs Guild, for everyone.
Should only end-game, min-maxxer, top Guilds be the only ones who feel like they can participate and win - No
That’s where an event for end-game players is missing, and feedback pretty actively shared.
Restrictions should be a challenge, I agree. But I think it need to be accessible, in some form for everyone. Whether that’s new and low level players can just fight the Gate where other high level Guild members handle the Palace or full Guilds can cover the whole Keep and fight against other Guilds at that same level.
The idea that it should be the hardest event, is exclusionary and never the intention.
Also, it’s been repeated a heap.. Guild Wars is actively being worked on. There are gonna be changes ongoing.
Attack restrictions is one of the biggest pain points, so I would expect some changes being tested around what they look like, before we had a set rhythm.
