I feel like a fool to have waited this (&#@%!) of GW for a year…
I’ve not played this game for eight years to lose like a noob, nor to feel like a unlucky sod. I play to have fun and, perhaps in an infantile way, feel powerful; something that this (&#@%!) game ceased to do for me.
This is from someone in our alliance. I think it pretty much sums up the feelings of a good part of the older players. Can’t argue against feelings …
Another fun guild wars, but twice the results screen gave the wrong opponent. First day we even beat ourselves! I thought this issue had been resolved.
@Jeto have you try to fight EoE (elementalist), Takshaka x3 with a team from Suncrest (or any kingdom)?
Some Kingdoms or Races can be better, or board. But the balance of this powerful team (and some other are very hard when we can use more than 1 time the same troop in defense) is not motivating to help the new GW.
A lot of players were complaining about the defenses were always the same in GW, actually it’s the same now with more chance to loose.
Tactic : Green keep, 6 stronger players with 3 Takshaka each can block 2 path (Divine and Naga).
Palace 3 players : Chrysantherax team
Portal 3 players : Chrysantherax/Maraji
Nothing is unbeatable, but with that your average to stop the attacker is very high.
That is what we see on the battlefield, and of course what we are going to take for revenge. So in final everybody use the same and we are at the same point as the old guild war.
This will be inevitable as everyone will use the most meta team in the end. I would suggest randomize the color of the keep each day to give some variety so like the old wars, you would need to set 4 defenses for the week.
I suggested something like we don’t select a colour for the defense.
Gate
First line : Kingdom
Second line : Race + Colour
Third line : Race
Palace : anything
With a penalty - like the old system - for using multiple of the same troop. The defenses can change and give us more variety. The more you progress towards the palace, the more difficult the fights become.
I was actually quite decent at GW.. This is an absolute RNG fest though. Exactly like you said Suncrest vs EoE, Tak x3.. Or TRM, tak, tak, beetrix.. Or Chryssy with obsidian libram..
There has so be some sort of restriction to 1 troop, or ban Tak, stella, Diamintina, Chryssy. Make it about somewhat of skill again.. my only losses every week is straight RNG turn 2 fills and 3x hitting the right gem the next turn.
A story on why your dev team MUST act to balance their game for a change @Jeto This is not a fair matchup. Its not a “git gud” scenario.” Beating it is pure luck. First battle i lasted 3 turns second battle went like this.
Takshaka is a double zuul that fills fast. When we have to use teams that need setup this is not rng. Its plain not fair. This is honestly one of the worst game modes thats ever been put in the game. Its lazy, its boring, and it is broken.
REMOVE THE ABILITY TO SET MORE THAN ONE OF THE SAME TROOP IN GUILD WAR DEFENSE.
I don’t agree with that, I think they should be allowed Stellatrix, and check the troops previously downgraded (Ishbaala 40% instead 50%). These are 2 examples of troops that are banned or downgraded that isn’t necessary now.
We have lot of troops it’s the shame if we cannot use them, but we need a balance between attack and defence.
No. Straight up ban the ability to use two troops in guild wars defenses. All this is on meta zones is pvp but you have to use a lesser team
This is probably the easiest way, to give a ban than take the risk some players sacrifice their score to stop the guild in front (probably the difference of points by the opponents loosing will be bigger than some players losing some points by a penalty).
Note : with a team with Tak in first I play with Garuda in first position, doesn’t mean I win unfortunately
Jeto, still the same active bug, did not receive the gold marks from yesterday’s GW victory day, in the mailbox, while other members of my guild received them, the victory screen did not appear on my account, will it be sent manually or each player in my case, must make a complaint ticket? it may be a lot of tickets to process, thank you for a quick resolution response.
There is a somewhat controversial approach that might work out better, banning all mythic troops and mythic weapons from Guild Wars. This would prevent most of the crazy teams that tend to win battles on the first turn(s). Fights would obviously take longer, which is likely a positive, because it allows for far more strategies than right now.
Next guild wars red restriction? That’s disappointingly easy. By the way, I beat all those meta teams you guys are whining about with a suncrest team, just like the previous restricted guild wars, with maybe 1 inevitable loss once in a blue moon, but what’s the fun when there is no danger of losing?
