This might not be a good idea. It’s the single point of entry, putting a strong team there will prevent weaker attackers from scoring at all. This is especially an issue in low brackets, one single strong guild member could efficiently prevent most opponent players from participating.
Yea. The points have to work out.
That a 5-0 with a meta team.
Doesn’t beat a 3-2 with a kingdom restriction.
You need big penalties, to play GWs in kiddie mode.
Only way it’s fair.
That was true in the old GWs as well maybe exacerbated in the new format (only 3 people to choose from).
Ps. Now the 3 “soldiers” at the gate would be the bottom 3 players in the guild so it wouldn’t be much of a problem I think.
Not quite. In the old GW it picked randomly from the 20 lowest scoring players, in the new GW you could arrange for it to always pick the same strongest player.
It looks pretty trivial to exploit that rule to still make it always pick the same strongest player, and it doesn’t look like it would even cost that player anything.
Hmm unless my math is wrong, there should be only 14 soldiers.
Your math might be right, it’s been a long time since the old GW. ![]()
I’ll have a tiny update about fighting yourself later this month, start of next month as I will be starting a series of blogs around specifically QOL Updates - updates as in sharing information, and not updates as in, QOL only game updates

QoL updates for the win!!
It was an exemple…
I was answering at
I’m not sure Paragon will mean as much in the current format….for example how do you compare the scores between someone who has gone the easier path, compared to those that went the ‘medium’ or ‘hard’ paths?
So doesn’t matter if the soldier is competitive or not. I mean in old system the path (selection of fight) could be easier than a teammate (except the paragon because it was only one).
Anyway not important ![]()
If they actually fix the qol things we’ve been asking for I’ll eat my hat . That’s how little faith I have in these guys
And again as mentioned, more qol blogs are on the way.
What kind of hat are we talking? Tortilla chip sombrero? ![]()
Any hat really, preferably edible. I just really want to see some decent qol changes. All we’ve had for the past updates is constant passes, money grubbing practices and ignored requests. It’s getting pretty old now
cross posting. re: Guild leaderboards
This should be pretty trivial to implement without requiring a future update.
Got lucky this week and remembered to set defenses.

Defense needs more limits than what it currently has. GET ELEMENTALIST OUT OF EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF PVP. Sick and tired of being crippled before I can even make a single turn. If we’re forced to use these ridiculous attack teams then defenses shouldn’t be able to create teams with Elementalist that even META attack teams struggle with.
I feel like a fool to have waited this (&#@%!) of GW for a year…
I’ve not played this game for eight years to lose like a noob, nor to feel like a unlucky sod. I play to have fun and, perhaps in an infantile way, feel powerful; something that this (&#@%!) game ceased to do for me.
This is from someone in our alliance. I think it pretty much sums up the feelings of a good part of the older players. Can’t argue against feelings …
Another fun guild wars, but twice the results screen gave the wrong opponent. First day we even beat ourselves! I thought this issue had been resolved.
@Jeto have you try to fight EoE (elementalist), Takshaka x3 with a team from Suncrest (or any kingdom)?
Some Kingdoms or Races can be better, or board. But the balance of this powerful team (and some other are very hard when we can use more than 1 time the same troop in defense) is not motivating to help the new GW.
A lot of players were complaining about the defenses were always the same in GW, actually it’s the same now with more chance to loose.
Tactic : Green keep, 6 stronger players with 3 Takshaka each can block 2 path (Divine and Naga).
Palace 3 players : Chrysantherax team
Portal 3 players : Chrysantherax/Maraji
Nothing is unbeatable, but with that your average to stop the attacker is very high.
That is what we see on the battlefield, and of course what we are going to take for revenge. So in final everybody use the same and we are at the same point as the old guild war.
