Wow i didn’t know that, thanks Theoden
Yeah, they don’t tell you, you just see the unlock option after you get it (if you look carefully, it’s not prominent). Strange they don’t mention it, it is a selling point IMO, since you don’t miss rewards due to losses, just a few gems. You can buy the rewards even before doing the battles, Tacet and Crisp Purpose had Baphomet’s shiny spell going into day one.
I won this due to board luck and popping their stupid dragon (that shouldnt be in pvp because you guys took out stellarix and this dragon is basically the same. But you people dont play your game or care about consistency). I just had to laugh when i saw that match pop up because i knew i was either going to lose quickly or have a slog where i tiptop around the three most powerful troops in the game with blighted lands.
Defenses should be restricted to blighted lands just like we are. This is artificial difficulty and screams “we dont know how to balance a game.”
I don’t mind Chrysantherax in PvP and GW. Stellarix is much more loop prone and has 55% spell damage reduction, making it more annoying to fight IMO.
I still get 1 shot by high level Chrys so I can’t stand it ![]()
That 36 ranked guild might have been us. We’ve consistently been getting matched against the very top end guilds this week. There’s no point even trying to encourage any of us to continue suffering through this mess. It’s beyond broken, and apparently the only plan for the next year(s) is to paint parts of it pink.
What I really don’t get is why. Why did all our feedback get ignored designing this attrocity? Why did it get pushed out of the door in such an unplayable state? Why is it still getting forced on us, instead of taking it down for “testing”, never to return?
I’d collect and write up a list of the more prominent Guild Wars design failures. It’s just a wasted effort, the people who should be reading it probably couldn’t care less and wouldn’t understand any of it anyway.
Ok I no it’s awful winning 4-1 and 3-2.
It’s bad against triple tak at palace (even tho I won
).
The main thing everyone is forgetting tho is.
The team your fighting, is also fighting your triple tak defences on there attack games.
There defences are not there attacks, your opponents also have blighted lands attacks.
So if your guild is losing, it’s because there either picking better attacks or defences.
But you and your opponents, on attack both have the same troops.
Why is that so hard to understand. ![]()

My team that beat triple tak.
Doomsayer.
Gatekeeper
Abynissia
Succubus
Two of wands
Only in theory. As long as matchmaking remains broken, your opponent may have significantly more (or less) troops to chose from. Unless you are the top 1 guild, then you somehow get to fight yourself.
Flower dragon loops quite often too. I dont care about it or stellarix in pvp
In pvp we can use our own and wand of stars to counter it. If you lose to it in pvp its usually due to extreme bad luck or your mistakes. Pvp however adds artificial difficulty to it
Silver marks are still in burning chests and theyve never responded to our complaints about that.
They do not care
No mate. Not in theory. In practice.
As every attack guild, has to use Blighted lands troops.
So the Devs choice of how GWs works, is very fair.
And lack of troops is based on, play style, life happening, and game RNG.
But ALL OUR CHOICES ARE THE SAME ON ATTACK BLIGHTED LANDS ONLY, AGAIN I REITERATE EVERY PLAYER IN THE GAME IS USING BLIGHTED LANDS.
Ps. Could be worse, could be getting double tapped by Chyrsanthis in PvP ![]()
Everything is useless. They don’t play their own game. They don’t read their own forum. They don’t fix their own gameplay mistakes (not crucial bugs, I mean - gameplay mistakes). How can we explain something to developers, that have no idea about basic aspects of the game? Look at those updates - everything for some new player who is still unaware what’s going on… Remove Elementalist class from GW? No way! Why? They don’t know, they are too busy with remodelling old textures… And so on…
This can be easily alleviated by restricting class on the defense which we have been asking for ages.
It’s not about restrictions, it’s about troops. It doesn’t matter that a guild of fairly new players has the same restrictions as a guild of end-game players. If you match them against each other, one of those guilds will have quite a few more troops available to play with, with much higher stats. Welcome to Gems Of Nothing Is Working.
On the face of it, Stellarix seems better, it’s spell block is when not stunned, but it’s not really in practice. Chrysantherax is half Elemental and benefits from much better support than Stellarix gets from Essencia.
You can field an all elemental team and get all the benefits of Elementalist class, which is way superior to Dragonguard (if going for max bonuses), and get significant bonuses from Elementals and Nexus. You also benefit from Emberclaw’s third trait. So many games you are full before you actually make your first move and your magic cast will do around 240 none buffed.
As for guild wars. Overly restricted vs troops that can fill before they go and added defensive bonus stats mean capped magic on Takshaka will 1 shot none capped life.
this is not a great gw they made for one thing they should of called it kingdom wars b/c you can only use the troops in one kingdom and they made it so that the def teams can be out of kingdom which dont make sense this new gw concept is a little like arena. gw should be use of any troops for attack and any for def by fighting against other guilds you still trying to protect your guild the way it is now with restricting the attack team yes its difficult but i dont see at all where it would help newer players. b/c a lot of low levels dont have all the troops for each kingdom . i really believe they should rework the attack teams and defense team but keep how we go to fight the palace
The fix is very very simple. Restrict the ai to the kingdom we use. Allowing the ai to use a literal meta team like double khafru and dragon against blighted lands is such a bad joke
Restricting defences to a Kingdom will make it too easy. Almost everyone would go 20-0, and then the differentiation would be battle tactics only, in order to maximise in-battle bonuses.
The two ideas I’ve read which seem like good first ‘tweaks’:
- allow attack teams to be built from 2 or 3 Kingdoms
- Automatically assign the ‘colour defence pillar’ …..because at the moment near on everyone is choosing green. If it cycled through them, we’d at least get some variation.
And in terms of QOL, increase the fonts on the map screen, particularly for the ‘battles won at each location’ shown in the shields. It’s like font 4 on a phone.
In addition to the pre-war feedback above, here’s some post-war feedback:
Our casual guild used to have around 50% participation in Guild Wars (~15 people), whereas we are now lucky if we get 6 or 7 members doing their attacks.
This is a direct consequence of having to build new teams each Guild War, the Attack Restrictions, and the fact that players who used to be able to choose any team they like (when Restrictions Were Optional) are no longer able to do so. In short, Guild Wars has become a stressful chore to many.
The fact that this drop in participation comes despite the new rewards given for winning 18 battles, is hopefully telling.
Here’s to hoping Jeto can keep on sending the key elements up the feedback chain, and apologies for any redundancies.

The unbalance is hard to explain to the devs from a seasoned veteran’s perspective. I honestly think that Kingdom restrictions should just be removed because they’re too harsh on newer players and some kingdoms have not kept up with the power creep and utility of recent troops that were added, so the scales tip towards the defense like these past wars.
But it’s a delicate scale that is hard to adjust. Too easy, and there’s no competition. Too hard, and everyone just gives up. I am just one person, and the community should vote for it, but the devs will do that for us, so whatever.
My honest opinion:
•Limit defensive troops to be able to only use 1 of a single troop. (Takshaka, Khafru, Boom Pile, Stormgard are the biggest offenders).
•Chrysantherax. Since you changed Stellarix to Diamantina, changing the new flower dragon to Diamantina makes logical sense, but I am not sure. It would definitely make elemental, dragon and palaces weaker, but being one shotted, struggling to fight a troop with a half mana start and empowered troops seems…a bit off balance.
•Rotate keeps that we have to defend to give a bit of the feel of “colored” GW days again. Everyone is just going to keep using the same overpowered troops on defense in the same keep. Every. Single. Time. Open up our minds to new strategies using the weaker troop types.
•Remove kingdom restrictions. Period. Newer players can feel like they’re going up against Megatron with nothing but a paper clip and chewing gum. Kingdoms are out of balance and some have to rely on some really dumb gimmicks, outdated troops, or just…frustrating mechanics that don’t match well with the power creep.
I could give examples of bad match-ups, but the devs don’t read this information anyway, and I don’t want to overwhelm Jeto, so I will just leave it at that.
