Continuing the discussion from Guild Wars Reimagined:

@Jeto - apologies in advance if you’ve already answered this. I’m still looking for clarity on how the actual matching works. My GW optional guild is ranked 146. Today we are playing a guild ranked 98. 48 spots higher seems at least 28 too many. It’s very hard to motivate people to play with this kind of disparity. Appreciate any insight you can provide.

Are you looking at gems league rankings.
Or GW league rankings, as I can see my own GW league.
But it doesn’t go 48 teams higher or lower.
So how are you seeing the rankings.

Blighted lands. LOL. We are restricted to blighted lands.

Also what is the deal with the ai getting a buff thay entangles my whole team.

I’d love if they just gave the Guild icon an exclamation mark if you have your defense to set or daily battles left to play.

They love to use these exclamation marks everywhere else in the main menu (Dailies, Campaign, Shines, Rewarded Ads, etc.), but why not use it as a reminder for something actually important?

I’d take a persistent pop-up like pets too.

GW has been my favourite mode in the game for many years. Classic GW had it all, competing with you guildmates, winning on defenses, long battles with in depth skill needed to win your 30 battles..
I’ve tried the new GW, really gave it my most positive vibe. But I can only come to one conclusion. It completely sucks. I hate fighting with idiotic troops, and just pray for a good board and survive for 3 turns. It’s all about luck and ZERO about skills or team building.
What a horror, I really hope I have quit this game before the next round. I find myself really not caring at all about this mode anymore. After four rounds…what a waste of a good game.

Pretty much only play during Guild Wars. While last few ones were pretty fun have come across a very lame thing.

The problem is that while an attacking team is limited an defensive team barely has any limitations. This causes issues like with this GW where Blighted Land doesn’t have much options but defensive teams can have Elementalist with Essence of Evil and 3 Takshaka.
A solution for this would be to add a 1 of same troop limit into GW.

Excellent Pim and Wolfchadren, you said it all well and summed it up well, this new version of GW is completely useless and totally unbalanced, but IP2 unfortunately doesn’t want to hear anything, IP2 is there to entertain us on this event but it’s quite the opposite, for end gamers like me this event saddens us, for average players, they only bring frustration and for the lowest levels, it’s downright disgusting. In the old GW we could build real teams, elaborate strategies, there was a real sharing in the guild, now there is nothing more to share, as the attack units at our disposal are so useless and so limited. Go back to the system of color days or a single color per GW, otherwise your event is dead, no point in continuing to develop it. Also fix the Matchmaking, you are completely delusional on this point, nothing has been done, you do not control the situation, more than a year of development and weeks or months of beta testing to get to this point, wow impressive disaster and that is ignoring the dozens of bugs since launch. Finally, it reminds me of the disaster when the challenges were launched for shiny pets, or a large part of the kingdoms were unplayable with the units made available and then each week of challenge, before the Monday reset, IP2 modified the teams, to make access to the game possible under pressure from the community. For GW we are partly in exactly the same problem, IP2 remains deaf, but we are sure that their ears will soon open to bring real GW pleasure to the entire community of players.

One last thing Jeto, in all politeness, we have known for a very long time that no one at IP2 plays your game Gem’s of War, but you have open accounts at your disposal, so when you arrive at the office this Monday morning, in Australia, the GW will not be finished, I suggest to you and your colleagues, to go take your GW team of Blighted Land and each play your 5 matches, and then tell us at what moment of the game you felt a second of pleasure, I already know the answer, it will be zero if you are honest, but do the test and put in place a solution to bring us pleasure on the next GW, do your job of entertaining and amusing us, not frustrating us, and in addition your sales of GW medallion will be strongly increasing, if your customers are happy :slight_smile:

I retired from the game because of this GW’S seen a spot in top 5 guild open joined first day played number 8 guild they scores 28k and today 36 ranked guild only at 7,800 points means nobody is playing this new GW’S
I know the rankings are completely trash since it was based off grinding trophies not skill at GW’S
How is beating someone by 40k fun for anyone :joy:

This gw is absolute trash. Someone in my guld keeps attacking the gate and we have no way of finding out who it is. My guess is that they are buying the silly medallion and want the easy wins

You can tell you are killing the game off fast Tower of doom winner would have to get 15k dooms or more to win on Playstation win when it only counted as 1 doom now it’s worth double and 6k will probably win it, Since the old GW’S has been removed

Make everyone send screenshots and kick if not, but game mode is non competitive now and not worth worry about in my honest opinion

Wouldn’t colour days just mean everyone using some combination of Stella/Chrys with khafru/Zarg? That’s basically what PvP is like in the colour regions and that would be boring.

I would prefer a restriction along the lines of where we can use troops (and weapons) from 3 kingdoms only, so there’s some creativity and variety.

Gw is an absolute mess - yesterday it said our enemy is ‘Engelchen’, in todays win pop up it said we fought and won against ‘La Armada’. So, seeing little bugs like this, do you really think and belief that gw and ELO works properly and doin all the maths right? I call BS. :poop::face_vomiting:

Jeto, you will say a big thank you to your management, Saturday GW, restrictions Blighted Land vs 3 Takshaka and the new Boss, at the palace, it is surely very funny for you, but for us, what a desolation, what a shipwreck this GW, ridiculous :enraged_face:, give us real attackers, 4 days of GW = a single color in restriction and that’s it !!!

That’s right Chrono, you’re right, in this case, we exclude units and weapons with 6 loading colors on the single color of the 4 days of GW and then we can start thinking about making real attack teams and finding team sharing within each guild and above all fun.

@Jeto It could be so simple: just always set the same restriction for creating defence teams like the actual restrictrion as for the attack teams!

I think the restrictions need to be unbalanced, otherwise battles will be an absolute pushover for the attackers.

Defenders have 2 huge disadvantages.
1 - Attackers get first turn
2 - They’re controlled by AI, which will gleefully do dumb stuff like cast convertors with no alignment, cast Champion of Anu on bottom slot, or cast Essencia at all.

I’m fine with restrictions as they are. Having challenging GW battles is a good thing IMO.

My main issues are how ridiculously little data we get about event progress. Did a certain player do their battles? Where did they fight? How did they do? How about the enemy players? We’re completely blind to all of this, which is very frustrating.

If they keep the restrictions as is then they’ll have to do something about the reward system since if you don’t win you get nothing. I don’t understand it from a business stand point either cause why buy the medallion if you can’t get the 18 wins?
