Guild Wars Reforged Feedback

Some people tend to use ‘skill issue’ phrase when it has nothing to do with skill.

Double converter at old GW meant you have choices:

  1. Make your own 4-matches and keep going;
  2. Disrupt gems layout so enemy converter won’t get 4 match when you pass the turn;
  3. Pray.

Takshakas and Khafru simplified this formula to 1 and 3 - no matter what do u do with the board, once you pass the turn you can ONLY pray. That’s the main issue this game is not any kind of ‘rewarding’ or ‘joyful’ coming to PVP. There are nothing skill-related, you do not affect the result - 50% chance of enemies getting no freeze effect leads to being completely wiped out by 3x back to back Chrys casts.

Heres your “feedback” devs. This is completely unfair.

Ban takshaka and remove the new dragon if you are going to keep this horrible guild wars rendition.

And to some of the dark souls like “get gud” posts. Triple takshakas against a dwarf team isnt a matter of skill. Its a matter of luck. If they get a single cast you are already behind the 8 ball. Literally your only chance is to hope to get a loop going. This is called artificial difficulty and its bad game design

No the doomed tomes werent this bad. We werent faction restricted then

It would be very simple-if we are restricted to dwarf or whatever…so should the defense. Or if they insist on allowing broken troops (no i dont want them nerfed) ONLY ALLOW ONE OF THEM

Or you freeze the book or entangle it if its front. By the end there were plenty of ways to deal with the books. There is zero way to deal with triple takshakas with a bad faction forces on you other than luck.

Not trying to defend the devs on the bad design, if 27 people beat the 3 x Tak team of a 30 people guild, should we call that luck or skill.

now repeat that for each number of players to see statistics overall, also apply 27 screenshots or video if possible

We need a point list for guild members. So guild masters can check participations.

We have Gate, 3 lines, palace.
I think keep the gate like that is good, all the players (whatever the level can claim the rewards), add a fight in first line and we can claim 100% bonuses, make more sense.
Gate = AI fight
3 first fights = kingdom defenses
3 middle fights = race + colour defenses
3 last fights = race defenses
Palace fight = no restrictions

The further you go, the more difficult it becomes.
1 player per defense, I don’t see the point of 3 players per defense, this solution could bring variety to the defenses if you rotate the kingdoms, race and colors.
I think it’s important if we can use all troops (Stellatrix and wand of stars) but a restriction to use 1 troop and don’t see 3 tasks

This is the worst game mode ever… I loved the old GW, stayed in the game waiting for it to return, but this has nothing to do with it. Even if I wait another year for the stats and leaderboards to be added it really won’t save the event… How did it even take this long to create something this horrible…

Aren’t we going to discuss the situation with how the devs has set up the opponents for Sons of Anarchy?
While we are struggling against takshakas and chrysanteraxes…

No negativity towards SoA, they are great! And they even have opened a bug report… Which was marked as not a bug

Silver marks are still in burning chests. So yeah. These devs dont care about their players. The only reason im still here is my guild and it doesnt take “energy” to play like most match 3s

Can you just put us out of our misery and scrap this whole disastrous event please. The old GW was fun, this is not. No ability to track who is participating. No in guild leaderboard. I much preferred the old style blocks of 10 league system for going up and down the leaderboard. It baffles me how long it took to come up with this dysfunctional disaster.

This game mode is an epic fail. Clearly it’s broken, won’t rehash all the issues but when you can’t even show which guild a guild fought the prev day correctly, it’s time to trash this junk. Aren’t you people embarrassed to actually launch something so broken? You’ve listened to zero feedback over the last year, you designed something no one wants needs or works.

Try listening to your dying customer base and bring back the old gw and trash this. Or fix this and add all the features the people who are your customers demand. Who did you design this for? You? Absolutely clueless of your own customers game demands.

Remove it and never bring it back until it works, sick and tired of 18 months of no gw then waiting around for this trash.

My guilds experience this weekend. Weds~Sat, stomped by much stronger/higher participation guilds. Sunday, vs dead guild.

We have a lot of people doing gate 5x/day. A good handful who aren’t setting defence. A lot of people clearly don’t enjoy this event and aren’t really participating. I can’t say I’m having much fun either, but I participate to the fullest.

Well, three events in…
If it weren’t for gold marks, I wouldn’t even touch the reforged guild wars with a ten foot pole. That’s that, it’s the only drawing point. Reforged guild wars were steaming hot pile of steaming hot substance when it got released, it was steaming hot pile of steaming hot substance the second time around, it is still steaming hot pile of steaming hot substance, and, I guess pretty safe to assume, it will be steaming hot pile of steaming hot substance when next event arrives (seeing, as practically no feedback has been taken into account and acted on so far and, as we all perfectly know and been told a handful of times by powers that be, future game development is firmly set in stone with no wiggle room at all for years to come).

Between forced daily play, virtually forced same team against same team lineup for the whole duration of the event, intriguing player-enemy selection matchups, stupefying lack of basic functionality and numerous bugs (well, including some deliberate idiotic and totally senseless choices, if Jeto is to be believed) people keep bringing up…what is there to be even content about? Say what you will about the old guild wars, but they were way more engaging that what we have right now.

Oh, as a postscript, our guild family is losing a veteran player today. The straw that broke the camel’s back?- New guild wars, months and months of waiting to receive a totally disappointing slap in the face.
(And we’re not the only ones - he had an alt account in very guild wars oriented guild as it was his main area of focus…)

Honestly, the whole situation looks something like this - let’s twiddle our thumbs for a year or whatever doing nothing and then throw together some stupid pile of junk and hope nobody notices.

Today’s last gw day, so let’s see which opponent we’re facing today…oh, OUR OWN GUILD. Really, i’m so done with this pile of bugtrash, seriously thinking about to quit this hamster wheel nonsense after 10 years and with vip14. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth::face_vomiting:

The match-making actually improved a bit for my guild this third time around. All 4 opponents have been pretty close to us (46) in current ranking. Unfortunately, one of them was still a now near-dead guild with nobody playing GW. One of them had really high levels of participation and beat us pretty soundly because of that, despite none of their defense teams being particularly strong and being similarly ranked. And the other two matches have been very close (the last one still ongoing of course).

So that’s much better than the first and second iterations of this. The first time we were matched against 3 top 10 guilds (including #1) plus #21. We were mostly overmatched, but the last one was somewhat competitive at least. Then the second time we got one strong guild that beat us handily, one fairly equal guild that we barely beat, and two completely dead guilds.

The mode is growing on me as we get better matches in it. But to reiterate what others have said, there are some glaring problems that need to be addressed before this new GW could be considered enjoyable. We need these points addressed:

1-Must have guild participation results showing points earned and battles won!
2-Must have a way to see how defense teams performed (preferably through both the My Keep location menu live and also in the requested participation list).
3-Need a better notification of when the defense team set-up period begins.
4-Need a way for a GM to remove a defense team from a location.
5-Need the rights to opt in/out of GW or to change keep maps, limited to top 2 ranks.
6-Would like a way to see how many of the opposing guild’s players participated.
7-Would like a post-war message saying how our rating changed from the results.

And the bugs related to match-making (repeated opponents and such) and especially the bug where it tells you the wrong guild you faced in the results need to fixed ASAP. That last one makes us really question if the rating is even being updated correctly based on who we actually played against, which undermines the whole event.

I quit this game after 10 plus years playing and Vip 19
Waited 18 months hoping GW’S would return just to get a terrible version of GW’S thats not enjoyable at all and completely broken
Multiple people left last GW’S and atleast 5 of us quit before this guildwars in the guild
You definitely don’t listen to your players feedback
