As someone who constantly goes to the same BBQ restaurant because they have the absolute best BBQ in town, then yes I’m fine with it. I will continue to give them my money (rewards) over the other guys. They have earned it.

Joe’s KC BBQ by the way.

Someone got a 12,8K score, while most get around 7k, I wonder what he knows that all of us other does not on a first day of the new GW. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I agree, cascades were crazy

Think I may hold off until Sunday see where this goes maybe that by then we’ll figure it out.

I was quietly planning that all along. As we have absolute 100% assurance they will NOT change the criteria mid week.

Its in my nature to plan :grinning::grinning:

No but if people start catching on, we’ll know what know what the hell to do, maybe pull off 15 k or something crazy

The problem in GW with that is once you figure out a good recipe the quality of your ingredients change. The devs will continuously tweak the formula week-to-week.

You could be surprise, if they realise something is wrong they already stoped GW once so they can do it again :stuck_out_tongue:

He probably had a mana looping team. There appears to be no effective ceiling to the MANA_BONUS portion of the score modifier. Try a looping team tomorrow and generate a LOT more mana than your opponent. This the current best theory coming out of this discussion. It’s what I’m going to try.

Since all the matches are worth 300pts now, can we have the points banner below each name show the number of points that were earned on that battle, (or n/a if it hasnt been fought yet)

I am not sure dude, day has been long and hes the only one who has showed a such a great score. I mean many of us came before him also have tried looping teams, so it might be another recipe for the extremely high score…

I can live with STOP, that’s fair to everyone. End it and give everyone a few Gems/Keys, refund or keep the Sentinels. Start it again when its ready (in a week or two).

If they stop it now, with less than one day of data under the new scoring system, they will not have enough information to make it any better. I suspect we will have a week under the current regime and then Sirrian and the crew will make changes based on a reasonably large data set.

The whole idea with the scores is to keep the formula secret, you might find the values of a few factors, but in the end it will be a RNG multiplier that might make it be impossible for anyone to figure out the exact formula or all the factors. Thats my 5 cents of course. I am okay with it if it is so.

Regardless of how the scoring system ends up, if the formula is not going to be made explicitly public then GW scores need to be added to the normal pvp results screen. That way it would be possible to try things to figure out what works.

Also, it’s called “gaming the system” because people like to maximize their scores in games. You know, like say this one. It’s the designers job to come up with a system that can’t be broken by player choices. It’s the player’s job to get the best score they can within that framework.

Dang, I haven’t heard that song in a decade, but I still knew immediately what song that was.

For the record, @Vangor isn’t a troll. More like chaotic neutral.

Lol, even tacet called him out, ‘the guy with the gorilla picture’ the biggest troll on the forum. I wouldn’t really know what to think about that. I’d probably throw some poo his way if I was our hairy silverback.

Why would he be a troll? He never wanted a GW change, included me and many others. Now he is backing up his statement with what he predicted against all of those who wanted a change. God knows, its many trolls here if he is one among them.
