Does someone understand how they can scale down the rewards base on speed?
Is it after 1 match, 1 min, 5 min,? Because they can’t roll back rewards after a fight, so I guess there is already a minimum time a fight should last.
Also, you could finish a tier 12 explore pretty fast with luck. Will you be penalized?
And somebody touches the subject before, I don’t see it in a good way to nerf the event when you sold verses for real money before. I know they can do it, but there is a fine line that they are walking on…
Thats the prized question here. We all want to know how it will be scaled but i suspect that we wont get any answer to that question. Just brutal try and error as always
We truly appreciate you being so dedicated, so loyal to our game, that you have put in enough time.and / or money to get the best troops and teams builds. As our way of saying thank you, we offer you these kind words – ‘screw you’"
You actively went out of your way to screw your endgame players over something that doesn’t even impact anyone else.
The hard cap is an excellent idea actually, lots more strategies at play there as well for potentially using a battle to hit up, to gamble gnome resources to assist in completing a tougher battle.
My bet is time between the server sending you the battle setup and your client sending back the battle result. Lose 1/60 of the reward for every second less than 60 seconds, so only 1/10 reward if the server hears back from you after 6 seconds.
The hard cap is really a bad idea. It would be just like a Vault key battle. And such battle is hardly a challenge. Even if all gnomes would have 10k atk, life, def stats. Most would just go with Zuul or similar and one hit those.
My favorite part of this, is players that play optimally and have collected the cards/stats to have good teams - are being punished for playing the game. Great job Devs. Might as well come out and be frank about it, and tell all the old veterans like myself to just quit playing your game.
I’d like to request another resource nerf. Please increase the drop rate of band gnome troop cards from Cedric in the vault. If Cedric drops a band gnome, he ain’t dropping resources. Win-win!
Since they refuse to put any money into fixing server issues (I expect to see the exclamation point for server issues the entire weekend), getting 60-70 battles in that 15 minutes is often difficult to do.
Early-mid level gamers could potentially benefit from something like stocking up explore boss battles and activate the GaP to ensure they don’t lose the chest. I’m just thinking from the perspective that the gnomes would have more use outside of being a slaughter-fest which apparently the devs dislike.
It does’nt take an end-gamer account to make Rowanne (Epic, no traits needed), Maraji Queen (Legendary, Fully traited), Leprechaun (Ultra-Rare, fully traited) & literally any other troop or hero and get close to 5 battles per minute.
But I can almost guarantee that this would be considered “too fast” and be nerfed. No matter if the players was level 500 or 1500.
Prove me wrong, devs.
State clearly WHAT is too fast.
State clearly WHAT is too easy.
Otherwise it comes across as punishing players because they don’t play like you want them to.
Early/mid game have trouble no matter what if they dont have the cards. Even its hard cap then those players doesnt have the fire power to beat them on higher difficulty. If its as it was before the nerf then they have the chance to get a lot of resource after getting rowanne. Even without optimal set they can do 3-4 which still benefits them.
I agree that they sat on the cake but the party is very much still grooving. Here’s what I’ve understood from reading this thread: During GAP:
All non-key/verse reward amounts are reduced based on speed/difficulty (by how much is not disclosed)
Keys and verses (if you’re lucky to find band gnomes during GAP) drop at the same rate and amount as before
Outside of GAP
No change
What this means is that you’ll get less gold, souls, glory, jewels, shards, diamonds and chaos shards DURING GAP (if you spam easy/fast fights) but everything else will remain the same and you can still spam easy/fast fights outside of GAPs to earn verses.
The Devs could tell us the exact thresholds and reduced rates, which would be great transparency, but would that really change the vault weekend play-style? Salty said in the OP: if you do 6 fights/min, you’ll get more rewards that 1 fight/min, just not 6x. So playing fast is still good since it’ll still give the same variety of rewards, just less of the ones that could be farmed elsewhere.
This, pretty much. Saying “economy” sounds more professional than “you cheapskates aren’t buying enough stuff to compensate our generosity.”
Bingo. This is by design. (Prove me wrong, Devs. Show us the numbers.)
Clarity from a company that gets its jollies from World Events with random scoring to prevent Power Orb ties…I wouldn’t recommend holding your breath here.
Taking a stab here, a certain ARPG backed by a Chinese megacorp that just added a third tier to their cash shop seasonal packs?
