Global Mail Exploit (Banpocalypse đŸ”„)

Not if you do it before 5 minutes

Your words, not mine. Or are you referring to a different “messy” paragraph that you haven’t clarified despite deleting 6 of your own paragraphs, along with editing and proofreading etc in the hope of somehow cementing your belief that you are an accomplished literary composer? If you get off on condescendence and hubris, good luck to you. Composition and grammar is one thing; trying to tell me what I was actually saying is something else. Spare me.

It doesn’t show an edit if no one reads your comment before you edit it.

You are 100% sure about that?

Cause im pretty sure you got 5 minutes before it show as edited post

Yes I’m 100% sure you’re right.

This is the last 25% of the final paragraph I referenced.

I didn’t put those words in your mouth. You put them in a post. My writing guide was the polite way to say something that’s less polite if said concisely:

The reason nobody seems to understand what you want to say is every one of your posts makes 10 disparate points and you secretly only want to discuss one of them. It’s possible you don’t actually mean any of them.

The game is if anyone responds, you tell them THAT wasn’t your main point and lay out a new challenge with 10 new points for them to decipher.

No thanks.

  • The core of your argument is subjective and most don’t agree with it.
  • The rest of your text is a distraction meant to start a kind of rhetorical game you can’t lose.
  • I know how to win this game.

I respect that everyone has differing opinions, but can we please try to move this thread back on topic.

While I am sure there are things in which we disagree, in this I give a hearty +1. Plus you said what I would have wanted to in a much better way than I ever could.

Whats everyone seems to miss about this is the primary (and simple) reason why the exact same offense was treated like extreme opposites.

Technical ability.

The developers do NOT have the technical ability to unwind the spending transactions. So they took the super lazy route and treated the players that spent the ill-gotten Gems with a ban while barely touching the players that didn’t get around to spending them Gems yet.

The Problem was caused by technical ability/mistakes (lack of testing) then amplified x100 by lacking the technical ability to do anything about the spent Gems (unwind the items/resources obtained). Period.

Well, I see that reinstatements of those who were banned have happened. Complete BS. They Cheated & they knew what they were doing, banning was just & deserved. They do not deserve to have their account reinstated. HARSH, no not really.

Please, say they didn’t reinstate banned accounts. Not sure if that is true, but changing now and being that wishy washy would be the worst thing that could happen.

Well, for now at least 1 of the sea mammals on ps4 got his account back.

I would suggest the devs to give also a 100K gems compensation too to those poor souls for all the troubles they had to deal with.

At this point i changed my mind, just UNBAN EVERYONE and hope ppls forget soon all that crap and how you lot handled it.

Maybe can aswell think about rename the game to Exploits of War ;3

Look like i was right about the update
 yeah again :stuck_out_tongue:

I know of at least one prolific exploiter who has been reinstated. We are talking serious gems here. I would love to have seen the mitigating circumstances that enabled him to wriggle out of that one. Obviously, I left that guild.

The mitigating circumstances were likely time. The announcement at the top of the thread doesn’t say anything about the bans being permanent, it’s quite common to to pick the length based on the severity of the issue and how often the offender already received a time out.

This likely proves my point that higher VIP players are most likely getting preferential treatment compared to those who don’t have it. If you get banned, it should be permanent, unless if it was a chat-ban.

It’s hypocritical otherwise, unfair to others.

My problem is this is always abstract “I knew a guy” discussions.

Personally speaking, if I knew a very prolific cheater got reinstated, I’d risk the forums ban to call it out. It’s a sure sign I wouldn’t want to stick around in the game.

Me and Doug Bowser were talking about it yesterday.

No clue why resurrect that thread (unless you’re raising the necromancer class and need xp), is been ages it’s know (and pretty sure there’s some posts saying it too up there) that ,on PS4 at least, all whales got the accounts back (may aswell mr “would have taken the jackpot 1 million times” dude but name change is a great thing eh? :3).

No clue also why risk a forum ban for nothing.

It’s time to move on, they can do w/e they want with their game.
