05/28/2025 Update: for what it’s worth and in case it’s helpful: the above Cliffy error is not exclusive to iOS. the update wiped out my Steam account data, after having to play through the initial new player steps to get to the point where I could reenter and log in to my pc/mobile account with Steam, my PC platform, same GOW account, encountered the same error trying to kick this new member who has done zip, nada, nothing but collect rewards others have earned, for 3 days now. Cliffy-CAVIY1P1YI8 on the PC attempt to kick this player
The team found some more information in the data that is a likely cause to this happening, before the weekend and this morning - just waiting to see if that is leading to a fix.
You’re lucky to be “only” getting Cliffy errors – on Switch, I occasionally prune inactive members from my guild and if I get an error, it’s a full-on game crash. (The kick is still otherwise successful.)
The error requires a restart. So not much different than a crash. And I wouldn’t mind it as much if it still actually kicked the member. But since it doesn’t kick them it’s a big deal.
