[Fixed] Bug with phantom fox

In Windows, the second spell (mana burn) of phantom fox didn’t work In arena. There is no mana burn effect on the two first ennemies. It always happens

In fact, the real problem is a problem of translation between the spell in english and the french one. In english, you have mana burn but in french, we have faerie fire and the faerie fire didn’t work

Actually, the real problem is how content gets pushed out entirely untested, then abandoned in its broken state. It’s not just the translation that’s incorrect, Mana Burn also doesn’t work. It’s been reported several times the past year, good luck reaching anbody who even remotely cares.

Hello

In order to investigate this issue further, and for everyone to be on the same page.

Please provide recorded screen footage of the Phantom Fox Mana Burn issue for the development team

So, how exactly more visuals showing the exact same thing is going to help? Maybe every player should record the exact same footage and then the issue will solve automatically?
And, surely, nothing is going to happen without everybody also providing invite codes, bank account details and keys to their dwellings.

Sigh. Launch your own game and see it yourself, isn’t that faster than watching videos?
In case you really don’t know how to reproduce it, here is a step-by-step guide:

  1. use this team [6191,7296,6542,6749,3069,2,2,3,3,1,3,1,14034] (queen mab, phantom fox, scurvy seadog, drowned sailor) in an explore-12 battle in Blighted land (as there is no troop with mana burn immunity in that kingdom).
  2. cast queen mab, see how mana burn performs. (Dealing damage = target’s mana collected + queen mab’s magic)
  3. cast phantom fox’s second spell, see how it doesn’t perform as mana burn should do. (Dealing damage = target’s mana collected. Phantom fox’s magic is missing in equation.)

Recently, it seems that many people have got the problem that they cannot understand written text, and have to rely on videos for anything. Perhaps it’s that kind of problem.

Here is the card in French and for the second spell when you translate it to english it’s faerie fire and not mana burn. When you play the card, there is no faerie fire.

The point is that there also isn’t any mana burn, even though it says so on the English spell text. Which has been reported and ignored several times the past year.

I find it funny that the Night Shear hero weapon got fixed with no “reported”, no “investigating”, no “fixed”. Probably didn’t even pass go and collect $200 either.

Meanwhile this Phantom Fox issue was reported/investigating for the longest of time and went completely ignored forever.

I guess someone on the programming team really liked Night Shear.

Hello

I’ve alerted the development team about the French Localisation issue.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello

Just a quick heads up that the French Localisation issue fix will be rolled out in the coming 24hours.

wait… that’s the takeaway?

is the actual problem with the mana burn not being boosted by the magic of the caster not being fixed?

I tested it just now: Phantom Fox’s Mana Burn has actually been fixed. (I don’t know when the fix was implemented.) It now works correctly, and it is an okay troop.

On a side note, I also observed its interaction with Spiritwalker Class’s “Spirit Drain” trait. The hero trait is applied first (even if he is lower in my team, expectably because of the trait’s timing), resulting in Mana Burn doing 2 less damage. On yet another note, Spirit Drain really feels too lame as a class trait; at least, it should exclude enemies with 0 mana from its random targeting (but that is perhaps too much to ask for).
