If that’s a thing then I had no clue. I thought those were for to inflict freeze and things like that lol
And then you went ahead and listed something you don’t like and would like to see improved…like and dislike go hand-in-hand unfortunately. You cannot force people to “stay on topic” and only make lists of what they like as it will inevitably lead them to also contemplate what they don’t.
@Anam_Cara Glad you started this! It’s nice to have a positive thread.
Treasure Hunt, though I wish they would add orbs and writs to the treasure.
Bounty…the prizes are great!
Faction Assault when it’s an event.
Gnome-a-palooza.
And the art work is great! Especially for the Kingdoms. I wouldn’t mind a print or two of some of them.
I also like Arena because it reminds me of sealed deck MtG.
@gwendo1ynn Thank you. I wanted to have something positive to talk about since most of us are hanging out here to help out.
If treasure hunt would have orbs and writs to the treasure, I might just stay in there for hours! It’s actually quite relaxing!
What a wonderful positive topic you created here That is very nice!
My favourite things are that there are always new things coming out, which keeps the game interesting. Even after all these years and having so many things in my account, it keeps me interested
I like the guild events and being in a guild for so many years and having wonderful members there and some even for several years as well I like helping them out and see how they work together to achieve things.
I really like how the game changed and makes things a lot easier like farming or the Underworld and especially the GaP, which is a great way to stock up on all resources.
But mostly I like that this game brought the most special person into my life and we are married by now. That is the biggest gift this game could have ever gotten me. And the most surprising one as well I would have never believed this would happen here, but it did. And I couldn’t be more gratefuly and happy about it
For me its gotta be tower of doom, especailly when we do a leaderboard push. I find scouting fun.
Love new delves when they come out. There is something psycholgically rewarding about beating the new delve at pf500.
And peripherally, i love our guild chat. Keeps me coming back to the game when im finding it less than fun…
If you go back and read what I said I never said I disliked Underspire. If I dislike a mode I do not play it and will not suggest an improvement. I do not need to because I’m actually glad there are some modes I dislike because I can skip those and save time. If I tried to make every mode into something I like then I would not have the time to play them all. So not always a bad thing having unliked modes especially if those modes are giving other folks joy… For example I like being off work on the weekends but an improvement would be I like 3 day weekends more. This in your theory would mean I dislike weekends off work. Improvement suggestions have no bearing on what I like or dislike. Either or both can be improved.
The old arena used to be my favorite mode for the reason you mention. It basically taught me the game. The current arena with no weapon? That’s not really how the game is played, so now I hate Arena.
I actually get the spirit of changing it, because you could just bring a killer weapon. But oof… they should have changed it to having us draft a weapon and 3 troops. Cures the killer weapon problem while still staying more or less true to the way the game works. I mean come on. lol
Favorite thing is when something I dont have become craftable in the Soulforge.
You arent the only one i like arena too. I feel like its the only mode where you cant just copy paste a team and spam 1 spell like almost everything else. When i win it actually feels like im good at the game and not just like i copied the best team to spam
I love so much of the art!
Guild Wars. It’s the reason why I still play.
New delves are real fun aswell. Well not the climbing part but PF500 is something that I enjoy playing.
Underspire is probably my favourite “daily” game mode. I play it first and get sad when I have to stop. I also get sad when I see intersection after intersection after another intersection. Devs probably think it is aMAZEing…
That’s about it. Rest of the stuff gets very boring after a while for me.
I just realized I have a strange enjoyment of figuring out which troops to use in my team. For example I spent several days going over the current Journey Team to decide what would be the safest way to get to the leaderboard.
Is this just me, or do others also like this aspect of the game? I haven’t seen anyone mention this.
I definitely enjoy making teams…it’s one of the main attractions of the game for me though I failed to mention it. Currently I’m having fun making teams with as little casting cost as possible to see what combinations are strongest.
For me, it’s my friends (and the community at large). But as far as game modes, top-level Guild Wars is fun for me. I enjoy the challenge
Oh, if course! Making teams is fun. I also like sharing mine.
dang, I wish you were in the same guild! I’d love to see your teams!
I can share some with you regardless.
If you use discord, you could join our server as a friend. We’re open to having people from other guilds (and platforms, too, why not?) there.
Makes sharing easier as I keep my teams on discord (my own server) - there are never enough slots.
Thank you, that is super kind of you. Yes, I would love to take you up on that offer!
I like Tower of Doom because that takes the most teamwork - we share scouting duties and it is fun to see how far up we can go - even if it does get repetitive after a few days.
I love Underspire - just unpredictable enough to keep my interest.
I also love the artwork and appreciate the silly jokes and pop culture references. Sometimes the pet names make me lol.
I like opening chests!
I like that there are people from all over the world in our guild.
I like all of the characters in this community - never a dull moment.
I like that they introduce new things into the game to keep it interesting, although I wish they would slow down the pace and test more thoroughly before releases.
I like the creativity involved in creating new teams and I love sharing and seeing other people’s teams - which is my final point, I love learning from others and the generosity of the playerbase.
Thanks for such a fun topic!
