Evil Dragons

If only whole thing about PVP rewards was not about speed and making high level player’s experience miserable.

I cast Stellarix. Stellarix misses, the enemy’s Chrysantherax fills and loops/kills me. I lose. More time is spent loading out, choosing another opponent, choosing your team, winning the next match to make up for the previous loss. That’s not speed.

You cast silence all. You’re not losing against most things.

Plenty of people still use The Grey King for the same reason in PvP.

Yea ino. I lose maybe 1 in 80 to chrys.

But just losing in one shot and replaying

Might actually be quicker than using silence, and wasting a turn putting viz infront of stella in your team. Filling up stella a turn later. Than if you use stella above viz in team rotation.

Yeah, Viz aren’t game changing or anything, there is similar good options.

Viz looks great.
Silence all enemies is so good.

But it would of been a game changer, pre all dragon eggs, pre takshaka, khafru, zarg, and maelstrom dagonath.

Now Viz looks good, sounds great. But in practise. Isnt gonna be used much outside of a kingdom event.

Was fun to mess around with a handful of matches for me, then placed it on the bench for good.

Exactly.

Even things like Zuul, ctharrasque and thrall arnt touched no more.

If a troop, doesnt kill or heavily damage all enrmies, with extra turn potential or isnt a pre button mana gen . Then its useless now. In most game modes.

Viz may be very useful in Underspire whenever its kingdom hits some events too.

Hmmm well if a karakoth event.

Im not dropping thrall or zuul. Then theres a weapon.

So maybe he gets in as a support troop. I csnt think what else is in karakoth.

Isnt there a purple dragon, with loop potential in karakoth ?

Yeah, same. Posisbly the Elder Dragon, doesnt deal much damage tho.

No but the loop and extra turn. Might be better than viz.

Il put him on the bench. In case old Zuul pulls his back

Zuul related team may be best later on in the Underspire event. Early on Viz and the other AoE and may do well.

Oh blimey Thrall that we mentioned is from Darkstone, so hes not an option for Karakoth.

I had to go and look at my go to karakoth team

Yep i dont use thrall. Thst may be why

The Gray King is absolutely fantastic once you know how to use him. Still one of the MVPs when Guild Wars was “real.” And we can use him in the :purple_circle: and :blue_circle: restrictions. You almost never lose once you get that play style down. Stellarix and Chrysantherax are faster, but silence from Vizinium or The Gray King will put those dragons to sleep.

Well il kill them

And you csn sing them a lullaby

Don’t forget the curse, which means you can’t even block the silence with bless and it takes even longer to recover from the silence status if you’re not dead already.

Pretty sure you’ve got that totally backwards.
Journey troops used to be weak, slow and have a high chance of looping. You’d cast them a hundred times or more against higher level enemies, and people hated how long they took to kill stuff.
The nerf reduced the chance of them looping, meaning people avoided using them at all. Now they often sit at the bottom of the team, doing nothing, while players focus on using the first three troops to win. Depending on what troops are available, that’s often (almost always) faster, but there’s more risk of losing a troop or taking too many turns, as compared to an almost-guaranteed loop that does low damage (you win in one or two turns with no allies lost).
People didn’t complain about the nerf because it made battles take longer. They complained because journey was badly designed, and nerfing the journey troops killed the only thing they had going for them (high chance of looping) without any compensation (higher damage for example) making them not just worthless but often dangerous to use (they have a fairly high chance of giving the enemy a bunch of free mana and 4+ match options). And because journey was badly designed, it meant that people lost more points, making it harder to earn rewards, as a result of the nerf, with the devs ignoring that for ages.
It also made the journey troops less useful in other modes, which some people complained about, but that was largely because they were easy to get and had a high chance of winning slowly, which was great for new players. Not because they were fast.
I dunno where you get the idea that journey troops were quicker.

I already asked this before, but I’ll do it again since it’s really important to me. Can the evil dragons please be changed to Undead/Dragons just like the last set was Elemental/Dragons? That would be really awesome.
