Evil Dragons

A small blog just to share that new Dragon Eggs will be appearing in the Soulforge after weekly reset on the 19th of Jan (AEDT). These dragons deal AOE damage and inflict negative status effects on all enemies, based on the Dragon. They also have a chance at an extra turn. Their legendary traits have…

I think the correct number is 6, not 7. The last dragon is being created separately. Or has everything changed?

Could they use a different bonus than Bleed? Bleed is significantly weaker than Freeze, Stun, Silence, Death Mark, and Terror (last dragon) and Bleed still isn’t on the level of Disease either.

If Bleed is a Purple Gem, Hunter’s Mark for a Red Dragon in Grosh’Nak makes more sense to me.

Valid point.

the last dragon has no point, silence/stun dragon much much better

Does this have to happen again? So many people are going to be furious!

This seems way too soon to me…

No new dragons until the chance of endless duplicates is removed!

Just shows how tone deaf the company is to release new dragons with all the hate the current process for obtaining them has.

So if I understand it correctly. Because you have not been able to save up enough dragonite you want it delayed to the Summer or so, before they release the Evil dragons?

What do you even mean with that I am looking into it a bit too much? It is stright forward.

But it doesn’t change the fact that you would want a delay because you have not enough dragonite in your hand. It is nothing wrong with wanting a delay. I want a delay because I think the evil dragons can be better balanced, but God knows if they will be.

New dragons every year? I hope my 12k dragonite will be enough. Many players are sitting on a lot of dragonite, just from completing everything every week.

Instead of doing something about pvp since it was voted the most hated in 2 categories during the community survey they are trying to force more people to play for dragonite by releasing them so soon

The way these dragons are released year after year just shows the devs do no listen to your feedback. Never forget the sirrian comment about how much “fun” we had getting the first set. Sorry but my idea of “fun” is not spending real money or hours grinding for rng. Its annoying

They are running on a skeleton crew. Jeto said it’s just her and 2 devs left. I know jeto tries and I do appreciate the effort but I don’t think anyone actually cares about the wants and needs of the player base. The game needs new players and the devs seem to be doing everything possible to make someone that decides to give the game a try reason to uninstall. Too many dragons with horrible RNG and not enough sources for dragonite. Too many immortals with an abysmal amount of burning marks per season that have to be spread out for more RNG chances to even get a handful of souls. PVP with an insane time commitment if you want to reach the top level just to watch it all disappear each season. Brutal punishment of higher level players with low level VP battles instead of simply using an easy, medium and hard battle selection. Lack of resource balancing for all things game related. Vault keys need an update since the troop pool is way too big now. Guild tasks need an update since the resources are pathetic in comparison to the current game economy. No one working on the game is actually playing it and they have obviously lost the plot.

The inverse of that argument is “the game needs to give older players something new to chase and these dragons are it”.

I understand your complaint. I really do. But if they stopped releasing new content because "it would drive new players away”, the long-time players will end up completing everything and many of them would subsuquently wander off to other titles because they would have “conquered every mountain”. That’s simply the nature of games like this, that it’s “evolve or die”.

Long-running games will always have balance issues in one direction or another. The hope that they can be adequately addressed, that the developers can find that perfect “sweet spot” is a forlorn one, because it’s simply too small a point in too large an ocean.

It’s not that I’m happy about this because I’m not. I just crafted Chrysantherax last week because that’s how long it took me to cobble together all the dragonite. (I refuse to spend real money, gems, or gold marks on the resource.) And your points about the systems that could use upgrading are sound.

But I do believe what you and many others ask for in these spaces simply isn’t viable. Not if the developers intend to keep this game running and milking money in the fashion that they have.

I’m not asking for the moon. I think a small amount of dragonite in the guild tasks as well as adding all gnomes as potentials for vault keys are reasonable asks considering how much dragonite is needed for all of these dragons.

This game has become nothing more than dragons and wand of stars.

You still play the game. Nobody told you to play it.
