So my question is this. If trials are specific to what Kingdom it is that week should I still attempt to do it this week if it isn’t working correctly? I don’t want to not do it and miss out on a pet

For epic trials, yes. The epic trial is only in the kingdom of the week and will be gone after this week until next Vulpacea week. You can get the starry pet now and upgrade it next time the kingdom comes around.
For regular trials, there’s no rush.

so put todd on the bottom and then put the other troop with skull reduction on top. It becomes an easy win

I already posted a few minutes ago. There is no hurry to maximize these pets. I spend 1000 gems just to get +6 magic and life for a kingdom bonus, which I don’t use troops combinations from the same kingdom. Only reason i maxed it is because I need 4 maxed pets for kingdom power 30. Otherwise, I would just use minion orbs to max them in the future

For Vulpacea this makes sense, it will be back pretty soon. Not for other kingdoms that may take a year+ to return.

So im forced to use a garbage team against the AI that cheats to favour the opposition team, which at high levels has 3 times my stats??
And what is my reward? A pet I have absolutely no use for. I already have enough pets to get me to level 30 for pretty much every kingdom (when i have enough deeds) and i already get the team bonuses these new pets give me from other existing pets.
Totally Pointless Update. Has to be the worst i’ve seen for many years on GOW.

I think its level dependent. I went to all those kingdoms after reading this and didn’t have much problem. Took me two tries on all of them at Tier X.

Nope, not forced. If you dont like the mode, dont do it. It’s optional. Choice is good.

new/midgame players no longer have a choice but to complete those. Else they will be missing bunch of helpful rewards which become obsolete when you finally reach stats required to kill those bastards

Epic trials, I’d agree.
Normal trials are required for kingdom progression (whenever there was task to finish X challenges before), therefore - mandatory and not a choice.
(Unless, of course, devs have adjusted and put something else in requirements instead, but that’s highly unlikely.)

Please tell me that offer for 5x Pets for 1,000,000,00 Gems is a BUG! Hate this format for Kingdom Challenges. First, they take the Hero from Arena and then mess up Challenges even more. Gotta be a joke!

My understanding is it’s intentional, and temporary. There was no confirmation on purchase, which could lead to people accidentally buying things they didn’t mean to. So they changed the price to 1 mil until they add a confirmation.

I’ve been playing this game for several years.
This is the first change that has made me re-think whether I want to play anymore.
The Trials change to be more like Arena is possibly the worst change ever made to the game.

Until 7.0 updates requirements for power level 30 to include requiring a maxed starry pet and epic trial completion…go ahead and count on having to at some point.

Honestly, I pretty much ignored Challenges to begin with because of how repetitive they were. The only times I ever sought them out intentionally were if I needed more colored Jewels (the Tier Lv.8 reward) during a week.
So I’m not exactly heartbroken over them being replaced.
