haha good on you. My first 3 legendaries up to level 80 were garnoks. I came to this forum reading it was regarded as the worst legendary. Happy happy joy joy

You know, I keep hearing that same scenario from my guildmembers, constantly. Yo it drives me batty. It’s “I used the 12 new Glory keys and got [Fill in the blank with Legendary].” I even hear “I used a single Gem key” and got War/ some other hot rarity. This bonanza of drops-from-Glory-keys happens every day in Chat (and Global Chat) to the point it made me wonder whether something was wrong with my account. Whenever I use a single Gem key, I get a Runic traitstone about 80% of the time. Or otherwise it’s Black Beast, War Sphinx, Chimera, or Berserker, like I’ve said. Pulling multiple Glory keys gives me tons of Mist Stalker for some reason, too.
I did get Borealis from glory keys though after completing a run to Tier 1! Could not have done it though without engaging another legendary, Keeper of Souls. My Valk-Banshee control deck was showing serious strain going up against Maw and Maralith and Mercy, I note it was ~35% win ratio at that point even though I think my Stat list was claiming 48%. Admittedly, that was really discouraging. One regular in my guild even threw in the towel and gave up playing the game this week.
Regarding the event chest, I sometimes wish I had an initial batch of say 100 event keys, and 100 gem keys, and then I’d record what I get from them and when, over a period of a month, in comparison to Glory key pulls. I suspect my Glory key pulls might average a higher rate of new troops obtained. Primarily because of that “I-get-a-Runic-traitstone” mechanic I’m experiencing from Event/Gem keys… This puts me at rather a disadvantage compared to folks who’ve been playing this game for a year, because not only did you have a sure-fire method of getting the older new troops by purchasing them directly with Glory, the overall addition of ALL these new troops keeps diluting the available overall probability of getting any of the older legendaries in the first place. Yes I know about Combinatorics probability, I’m not talking about the %chance being the same all the time for each individual chest pull. What I’m referring to is the overall pool of troop choices.
Aannnd that comment from Willy reminds me. What’s up with getting 2 or 3 duplicates of one’s first legendary before getting anything else? That duplicating effect even applies somewhat to getting Rares and Ultra Rares. Attempting to get both Valkyrie and Banshee before level 45 was an adventure.
Of course, drops are very randomized, but this plus having caught a Gorgotha (which I didn’t have) one week ago, this is a particularly tricky week. Don’t be upset. I often open chest gems to get major traitstones, I can’t find members for my Guild, so I’ve been lucky this time that’s it.
