None of these things. The place is increasingly toxic and I’m not alone in my opinion on this. There are users that only post negatively and there are those who spend their time trolling the devs. They’re not difficult to find. Some are on this thread.
And that quote on my other thread is SUCH a stretch if that’s your ‘evidence’ for smearing me as a troll. I was amused by @Sytro’s comment about getting nachos. I expressed my amusement directly to Sytro but you have spun that into something else. You clearly get your kicks in this way - like I said before - you be you. You spend your time tearing down if that’s where you get your buzz.
This quote is from @Denthegod not @Sherby74 , unless theyre the same person?
Overall I am not seeing any trolling in this thread. Some of us disagree how toxic or not the community is, how negative some people are, or whether negativity is constructive or not. Disagreeing does not make one a troll.
I can be pretty negative myself, and some people may be fed up with my comments and posts. That’s fine.
The problem is that when everything is fine most of the players are just playing and enjoying and even do not dare know about any forums. Many of em even are not active in their own guild chat. They may read it for cooperation, or even to listen to theirs guildmates blablabla, and thats it.
But when something in game goes wrong, wrong in rather substantional degree, when their guildmates start to tend to leave the game after a long joyful playway, etc., - it could rise even em to look for a place where they could represent their dissatisfaction. And they have this right.
Its obvious that theres a group of constant inhabitants of the forum who are get annoying from it, but this group, in fact, rather small to compair to a great majority of players that play in GoW. Here’s the source of such a disproportion of negative/positive posts.
i feel the same as you do, that’s why i now only visit the forum like once or twice per week (more active if there’s interesting event/update or annoying bug)
too much negativity may affect my gaming experience.
I think most endgamers avoid the forum as much as they possibly can. I know I still see a lot of familiar names from years ago in PVP in-game (and in the guild (and guildfamilies) that I am in contact with) that used to visit the forums, but never post (and maybe never even read) here anymore.
For myself I freely admit that the very negative vibe here on the forums is one of the reasons why I don’t post here nearly as much as I used to. The other part of the reason why I don’t post feedback anymore is that in my experience posting feedback here is largely useless, as the developers and publisher don’t do much (if anything at all) with the feedback posted here (which may actually be caused by the way the feedback on the forums is directed at the developers and publisher, but that’s purely conjecture from me)…
Sorry to hear that @Darkness - it is a shame that people have been turned off the forums. I get why people feel the need to vent but it’s become such a shift of balance and tone that I understand why other endgamers will avoid it.
@terberos - your enjoyment of @Eika’s jokes is giving me joy. I love that you’re so on board with them! I would want you in my audience if I ever did stand-up!
I have noticed there have been less negativity on the boards the latest days, maybe it is just me that is better with ignoring the stuff and focus on the positives, or people have changed a little overall.
In actual game related ‘news’ - I’ve been playing around with a Hatir & Skroll team, just to see what Lycanthropy/Doomskulls madness ensued! It was off the charts!
I don’t think they will - they would just be too high risk to use tbh, it can easily go against you when you are casting. And next week’s new troop also has ability to destroy lycanthropy gems so there is a glimmer of hope!
