Getting reports that despite completing the age verification process, players still cannot launch GOW

Due to Google Play’s Age Signal system being implemented, as well as the recently passed Texas Age verification laws passing, Gems of War will be required to only be accessible to devices running Google Play 51 or higher.

So, if you are not running 51 or higher, you won’t be able to launch. This is not a bug, and not something we can change. It’s a Google Play requirement.

If you are getting an error of ERROR_API_NOT_AVILABLE you just need to update your Google Play Store version. It should trigger automatically but if it doesn’t you can do this in the app.

Hi, @Jeto) Please give us exact info about that - is it forced on Thursday cause some of our mates have an errors with an “age confirmation issues”

I’ve asked if it can wait till weekly reset, because I know some people are having issues with the Age Confirmation stuff.
But I haven’t yet had a reply

No, no need to submit a ticket at the moment. Currently waiting for a dev to look into why it’s still blocking people if their age has been verified

Are they using a VPN? Or is their Google account set to a different region

They do use a VPN but i have not a lot of statistics about that - it’s just couple of screens and stories. Some devices they use have a playmarket version below 51

So as mentioned, anything below 51 isn’t gonna launch - that’s not a bug and not something we can change

It’s happening to a Texas guildmate with Google Play 52.1.

I’m in Texas too, but on PC and was not asked for it, though I did have to verify for one of the two social media sites I use (besides this one).

It’s only going to happen on Android devices, cos Google - unless you play via the Google Play store on PC.
