Did anyone level a capstone to 50? Or at least went up several levels? How do they scale? I don’t assume they stay at 50 star stones up to the top?!
+2 per level
50, 52, 54, 56 etc. etc.
More expensive than I hoped, but still not bad. Any suggestions which to start with? Soon I’m done with all boards and gotta spend on capstones.
I would hold your stones until the patch notes coming soon. Then Blue, then Yellow
I have 6 boards completed, only brown left. But all capstones at 1. So stones shouldn’t be a problem, even with new boards incoming. ![]()
But I thought about upgrading the “cleanse” or “journey” related stones first. At least up to a certain level, depending on actual costs.
there’s not really that many capstone choices:
-enemy hero skill %
chance for the enemy to miss extra turns from spells and 4+ matches
reduce enemy gem creation from spells by x with a x% chance to reduce it by 1 more
x% chance to negate each troop summoned from an enemy spell or trait
x% chance to cast dispel on all enemies when my turn begins. (which is apparently on the start of the opponent’s turn)
reduce enemy gem conversion by x with a x% chance to reduce it by 1 more
x% chance to ignore instant kill effects (except devour) from enemy spells and traits
things like Cleanse that are gold nodes can’t be upgraded
cost gets somewhat high later on, like 43/50 = 132 Star Stones
Denying enemy extra turns with the
capstone, followed by dispelling all enemies at the start of your turn with the
capstone seems like the only 2 that would have a major impact imo. (Maybe the chance to prevent instant kills with the
capstone).
I am pretty much FTP now, but I have already gotten most of the benefit from Astral Spire bonuses already. The devs mentioned that there will be additional boards, so once I get all the magic nodes, I will just save starstones and make a decision then.
Patience is the greatest resource in this game. New resources and content become easier to get as time goes on, and I am in no rush–the game is not that challenging anymore. Except for Arena and Guild Wars of course.![]()
I really tend to creating more gems and reducing enemy gems to make journeys more fun again. ![]()
Bountiful Gems (+1 gem creation) is a gold node ![]()
My personal top is:
- Dispell (yellow)
- Time warp (blue), Death Ward (brown), Reduce creation (green), summon ban (red)
- others
- hero
I don’t bye a star packs so it would take too long to complete them all. There’re more bords to come. I’ll probably never comes to complete a hero stuff)
I kinda like the Rogue board. Could be better, could be a lot worse.
Pro:
+20 starting gold ends up being +1,000 gold for me on E16. Adds up overtime.
+6 Magic isn’t the worst and notably buffs: Atlanta, Immortal Selene, and Egg Thief
+5% to Agile is ok if it’s additive. Doesn’t seem to hurt at least. Could be better, could be worse.
Con:
Prankster Capstone could legitimately backfire and could be one of those situations where it would be awesome to redistribute Star Stones. None of the other original Capstones really backfires in any way, except maybe Brown if you’re trying to do some kind of Sacrifice situation.
Best case scenario: swapping Essence of Evil or Ruby Macaque into anything else
Worst case scenario: turning Prismatic Orb into something more useable.
It’s also a % chance to happen so it only sometimes could cause you problems. Yay.
@jeto and how does a chance increasing? by 1% per level? so it’s 70% maxed? And as someone asked - could it transform to a WoS?
It can transform all Weapons.
As mentioned before, the explanations are literal. If there was an exclusion, we would have mentioned it already in the patch notes for that update
My question was about in WHAT it could be transformed. For now if enemy has a WoS it became an Orb, so we can’t face WoS in PVP anymore, how would it work with this perk? F.e. if enemy has a Vine Whip (red mana only) it could be transform into 1 of a 200 (about) weapons with red mana. What would happen if the randomely choosen weapon would be a WoS?
It’s in the quote about multi mana weapons, they will become a weapon that matches one of the colours.
It won’t pick Wand of Stars in PvP, pretty sure it’s excluded as an option for that reason. Was brought up during the update development and beta.
It’s the reason multi mana weapons will just pick something that matches one of the colours, as originally it would pick something that matches the exact mana colours, but this caused too many issues with weird pools to pull from.
And then Wand of Stars at that time could only become Imperial Jewel
Thanks) now we know how it’s supposed to work. It’s time for some enthusiast to test it xD
