Alright, I think we’ve given this adventure board enough time. This is just bringing ire looking at it. All adventure board tasks that offer farmable resources (gold keys, gold, souls, traitstones, glory keys, glory) should be removed from the pool. I think even pet food tasks would be more welcomed than the last 4 days of minor traitstones.
I think the expectations are way too high for AB. You get stuff for easy battles. You might need it you might not. It is like every other part of the game. If you don’t like it don’t play it. At least there are the “Kill 100 troops” so you’ll get 20 gems daily (sometimes there even is a Kill 150 for 100).
Yeah you misrepresent why people are complaining.
Most of these people were fine with the AB before deeds. I wasn’t, but if I tried to complain about the AB people like you came around to say, “No, I get to dictate how you feel and I think you shouldn’t post this.” But now deeds are distributed via AB and players want them badly. The whole thread isn’t really “AB sucks” so much as “deeds suck”.
It’d be different if the devs had just revealed openly, “This is how long we think it will be before the first kingdom is maxed”. Then we could talk about if that seemed reasonable. But they didn’t, so people had high expectations, and one of the stupidest things in the world you can do is expect these devs to deliver a player-friendly feature. Now they’re disappointed. I get it, I don’t understand why people aren’t used to disappointment either, but here we are.
Welcome to the forums. Your opinion isn’t so important other people have to stop talking on your whims. It’s like every other social forum on the internet.
I would hope they plan to release deeds as rewards for something else, as they did ingots
If not, they need to increase the rate somehow, otherwise it’ll be a decade to max everything
Maybe they are gearing up to let us trade minor and major traitstones for deeds!
Or at the least, traitstones need to be removed or a lessened %
They could remove them from common to ultra rare just like they have no mythic for gems
I would also suggest other resources that u get from every battle, but I’d settle for traitstones
The funny thing about the current incarnation of the AB is that the powers that be know exactly how much of which resources will be given to players per day, since everyone gets the same board. Before, with the RNG-based board, they’d just have an estimate.
Now, everything remotely “valuable” from the AB is under definitive lock-and-key, which was probably the intention from the start.
Is this a tinfoil hat theory? Because they claim that the tasks given on the adventure board are still random, but everyone is given the same tasks. They don’t go in and explicitly say: “Monday it’s 3 traitstones, Tuesday it’s 3 traitstones”. What they probably say is: 80% chance for traitstone 15% chance for gold, 1% for deed, 1% for gems, 1% VIP key. Similar thoughts, but different mechanics.
Still, if you say “80% chance for traitstone” you understand that there are 365 days in a year thus, roughly, 292 days of traitstone tasks.
It’s not like they’re given percentages by gods. They picked a time span and set a rate that is most likely to distribute deeds such that the first players who can max a kingdom won’t be able to do it until that date.
And it’s all server-side so we don’t know how detailed it is. It could be that it’s just “random chance of random deed color”. Or, every color of deed could have an individual chance. Or, it could be a lie that it’s random at all and they’re all scheduled. They are the only people that know.
So you can’t really attack or defend the stance other than pointing out this gives them fairly good control over the distribution rate of anything not collectible outside of AB. Other moves being made seem to be cutting off sources of resources that are also being distributed to AB.
Sometimes it’s not tinfoil hat. Sometimes we end up in a reality where the cynics and skeptics are right. When that is true, the crazy ones are the people who ignore what their eyes see and continue to insist things are as they should be.
While it may appear slightly tinfoil-hatty on the surface, the game has been incrementally decreasing the resources given to players for years, and putting every player on the same “rewards schedule” is a logical next step in that process.
What we don’t know is whether there is a RNG determining each day’s rewards as a unique event, or whether they’re using what I like to call the “fishbowl” method - this meaning, in essence, defining the rewards for a set period of time, and not refreshing the reward pool until the current pool is used up. Kind of like tossing slips of paper in a fishbowl and drawing three per day to set as tasks, then discarding them until the rest of the contents of the fishbowl are exhausted.
The thing about RNG is it can also be inherently streaky. Seeing lower-tier traitstone tasks for five consecutive days would be possible in a pure RNG system, just like rolling a die and having it come up a ‘1’ five times in a row. Because of this, the players have no way of knowing which method is being employed.
However, nearly every resource nerf has been accompanied by the tired argument “too many free resources ruins the economy”, which leads me to believe that even in a pure RNG environment, there are still safeguards of some sort in place to ensure the player doesn’t get too lucky. Like, say, getting Deeds tasks five days in a row (something that would also be possible in a fully RNG environment).
Just some insights/thoughts from a friendly neighborhood tinfoil-hatter
I do think it would be interesting to be able to fast forward 6 months or a year to see what kind of rewards analysis has become available.
Actually you totally misread what I was trying to say…But that is fine too.
I think based on this clarification I read it exactly right. If you had something different to say you’d have said that.
Alright, now that 4.6 is here.
How about removing: Traitstone, Gold Keys, Souls, Gold tasks with adventure tasks that drop mythstones or tokens / badges? At least this would offer something players of all levels would benefit from, and won’t “break the economy” as these are farmable resources.
Common / Rare / Epic / Legendary / Mythic tasks can drop a token/badge of the corresponding rarity (e.g. Mythic dropping Nysha)
Hypothetically… if we didn’t get a TraitStone task each day… Or at least 99% of the time… Would the game self combust?
May seem like a ridiculous Question.
It’s almost as ridiculous as the devs saying that the AB change from daily tasks wouldn’t be a nerf to our gems in take.
I choose to think of the glass as half partially full: we get 10 gems today!
Those damn bloody runics and souls that is there 90 % of the time…UGH…
(to name a few)
You must be mistaken awryan, it says I have a chance of EPIC REWARDS!!@!!@1
