The troops in arena teams are not given the synergy bonuses shown. This would be especially confusing to a new player, but perhaps since so many of the tool tips, spell descriptions, and effects do not do what they say, this is just another frustration to take in stride.
Maybe don’t display blatantly wrong info? Or, better yet, grant the synergy bonuses that skilfully crafted teams should actually get, making the game more interesting and rewarding for knowledgeable players.
